Our check-in was fast and easy. I paid an additional fee to upgrade our standard room to the Harriet suite, to celebrate our engagement the day we checked in. The hotel smell amazing, like a spa, upon entering and is clean. The elevator carpet is dirty and smells like a musty locker room. This needs to be cleaned. The Harriet Suite is large, elegant and beautiful. The bed and pillows comfortable. The only few things I would recommend is: a matras protector before placement of the fitted sheets. The glass protectors on the bedside tables and coffee table needs to be cleaned on both sides as it looks dirty and full of smudges and finger prints. Crumbs and dust underneath. And there was empty drinking cups underneath the loveseat and chairs from previous guests, which begs the question as to how often it is cleaned underneath. These small things would make it 5 star. We’ve stayed here multiple times since this hotel originally opened. A little something to help us celebrate our engagement (card in the room, something) would have been a nice touch by the hotel. As they were aware of it. But alas nothing.

Great experience

The rooms were gorgeous, but for that price were inefficient. The bathroom though had a shower should have had a raised side platform and the shower knobes were confusing too. They had mentioned that I will have to ask to get my room cleaned. But someone cleaned it while I was away, without me telling them to do so.

Great hotel overall.

Carpets are in horrible shape, staff says new ones are on order. Check before you reserve to see if that’s been done.

Loved the spacious Harriet suite. Very clean. Wished they had some sort of breakfast included with the stay. Desk staff very nice. Would recommend.
-
Not very well maintained. Stains and scuffs on doors and walls. Carpet coming up in some spots in the hallways.
-
Not maintained very well. More like a 3 star hotel, but staff was really friendly.

At 5:19 am the upstairs patron started doing exercises in his room either jogging or jumping rope. Then walking back and forth across room. The walls and ceiling above apparently have very little insulation and the noise level is unreasonable in a nice hotel. Too much noise as stated above.

Clean and modern. Great hotel. Please know that the “free breakfast” is only free if you book directly through the hotel.

We were very happy with our stay. The hotel was suitably located for everything we wanted to accomplish. Staff was friendly and professional and the room was perfect. Top marks all around. 👍

The hot water in my shower wasn't really very hot, but it was workable. The hotel has a breakfast bar, but the offering is limited. They have a decent gym but when I was there both treadmills were out of order which was unfortunate. Most mid-level hotels these days have coffee near the front desk available from at least 6am - 6pm. so was surprised this wasn't offered. Overall the hotel served its purpose as a quiet place to sleep in a location close to restaurants and shopping, but the property was tired and there were some things that we a bit unusual (Lack of room cleaning without asking or hot water). I'd say this place is average and was priced accordingly. I travel to Buffalo for business and have stayed many places along the way. There are surely nicer places in the same area, but for this trip they were twice the price so I chose to stay here and had an average stay.

It’s okay but I don’t think this is a 4-star level hotel. Service and facilities are mediocre.
-
Staff and location were great. A bit dated for a supposed 4 star hotel. The hall outside our room had missing or damaged carpet tiles.
-
Seems like a newly renovated place, very clean, had a nice gym on the floor. The staff was professional and courteous. Maybe a microwave could have been a good addition to the rooms utilities. The spa and resto options looked great, we did not have enough time to try that out. Overall a very nice place to stay with family.

The staff there are always amazing. I enjoy my stay everytime. It's a tiny oasis that brings so much peace.

The hotel is very attractive, modern and clean. Shockingly NO breakfast is served or available, free or to purchase! Instead a few pastries to go are for sale. The room was pleasant but amenities are lacking. No water in the room. Just an empty small fridge. One tiny bar of soap in the bathroom. The mattress was lumpy. The pillows were like large hard boulders. It was impossible to use them for sleep. Utterly ridiculous. We will definitely not return.

The room was nice, although the style was a bit dated, and the furniture had a few dings. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean and spacious. The blackout curtains were effective, and the area is quiet. A few things prevented a better review. One, the carpet in the hall is the third floor was obviously worn and not completely clean. Second, there were no charging points in the room. On the plus side, there are some very nice restaurants on the property. We didn’t try them. They were too expensive for us. The one that was open on Monday had a $60 per person prix fixe menu.
