The Delavan Hotel & Spa

The second night's stay one week later was equally underwhelming. We checked in mid afternoon only to find the TV and internet service kaput.... no signal. We found the in-room coffee maker kaput as well. We then went to a dinner that was truly awful but.... 200 bucks later.... still no TV and internet. We never had TV service and left being told that the management had not arranged any compensation although they knew about the problem the night before... As an aside, we wondered if our experience was unique. When coming down on the elevator with a young woman we asked about her experience. Nope... she wasn't returning because they never cleaned her room.... !!!! I guess the fact that they have snared AA flight crews at the hotel solves all needs for business.. May it continue because mine won't.

The bed is comfortable and the room was clean, with one glaring exception—there was a dirty towel hanging on a hook in the bathroom. Carpets in the halls are shabby and stained. The shower controls are extremely fussy and the shower floor is very slippery. We asked for a shower mat and were given an extra bath rug instead. That said, I slept very well and the coffee in the coffee shop is very good.

It’s a very nice hotel. It looks great when you enter the lobby. The bar and restaurant were great. Everyone that worked there were great. The room was spacious but is starting to look outdated. One thing we noticed, that other people stated was the coffee pot in the room was so dirty that we didn’t want to take a chance on using it.

Carpet in the hallways and walls are pretty beat up and nasty. Everything gin the restaurants is very overpriced. Our shower had hair in it. Bed was not very comfortable. Only redeeming factor were the staff - all very nice.

Nice hotel. Good, walkable location. 24 hour supermarket a block away. Highly recommend.

We had a really nice stay. Front desk was super helpful and the restaurant was excellent. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance!!!!

This is a very nice hotel that needs some updating. Spaces are large, both public and the individual rooms. The furniture, while somewhat old, is heavy and well built. The bathroom is very nice—new shower, double sinks, but vinyl flooring. Good mirrors in bath and bedroom area. A nice desk and chair as well as an easy chair. Comfortable bed and nice bedding. The TV service is difficult to manage. Ice must be brought up from the kitchen by the one person who works at the check-in desk—not a good situation. The hotel has a very lively bar and restaurant business that appears to serve the local area. There is a large bar, a seafood bistro with a bar, and an elegant dinner restaurant. The hotel lobby has a coffee and pastry breakfast bar with good choices. Carpeting throughout the facility needs to be replaced. It appears that the bars, restaurants, and event venue are the major business streams here, not the hotel. Nevertheless less, we would stay again.

Great hotel

It was away from the downtown area and Niagara Falls, but such a beautiful hotel. And very convenient to the airport.

The Delavan is very convenient to the airport & also the Amtrak station. Everything is recently updated. The rooms are very nice, beds very comfortable. The desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel!

We were there for a quick overnight as we had an early flight the next morning. We had a wonderful time at Perla watching football. The bartender there was great. As for the other amenities, we didn't really use them, which is why I just put "ok" as I don't really know. When it came to the room, the bed was super comfy, but would say that the upkeep of the paint, etc. could use a bit of refreshing. The lobby and main areas of the hotel were in much better shape than the rooms. That being said, they were still pretty nice.

This hotel was well maintained but the walls were thin and it was distracting to sleep while hearing noise from other rooms / floors. Otherwise it was pleasant.

All-around good hotel. Reasonably priced.
