The next morning, we received a note under our hotel room’s door saying that, as a thank you, everyone was welcome to a free Happy Hour poolside, with free beer and wine and appetizers. This was Icing on the cake and definitely not expected. Although our stay was not what we had hoped due to the storm and power outage, the staff and managers did such a great job of keeping people safe and calm, it will definitely be one of the most memorable. Thank you Grand Geneva, for your attentiveness to the situation and taking care of your patrons. We really appreciated it!

Overall had a fantastic experience for a sister’s weekend! Would however like more detailed information on getting around the resort as we often left early to try and find where we were going.
-
Great place for mother and daughter weekend

Nicely updated room decor and furnishings in junior suite. Great classes and services at the spa and fitness center and wonderful warm outdoor pool/hot tub plus fireworks Sunday evenings for the summer.

Large resort. If you arent able to move about easily, bring a wheelchair. Beautiful grounds! Helpful and super friendly front desk clerks.

Friendly staff. Outdoor pool area was very nice. Views from room were amazing.

More miss than hit given the high rate. First, a few good things. Check-in was fairly fast, our room was available early and welcome mimosas provided. The massages were solid but not spectacular for the prices. The problems began our first night. Room service delivered our order to the wrong room, and then tried to blame us over an hour later. Have never had that happen before. Concierge gave us a room credit, but we had already paid for massages with a credit card, so we made the mistake of ordering room service again to use credit. Breakfast order was missing capers for lox bagel, Irish coffee missing whipped cream and someone also forgot to blend the acai smoothie as it was basically clumps of fruit and lumps of yogurt. We tried pool bar that day. 2 out of the 3 servers who weren't busy were instead busy staring down at their phones. I had to ask one of them to do her job. She told me I needed to move 2 steps left in order to serve me. Ok? The guacamole was mush inside a tiny plastic cup, the speciality cocktail tasted like chemical mix and the mojito slushie most likely had absolutely zero alcohol in it. Our last morning we ordered room service again and specifically asked them not to forget whipped cream on Irish coffee this time. They forgot. Upon checkout they tried to charge us $200 for our dog, even though the front desk manager waived that fee at check-in after we supplied service animal proof. This place is somehow still coasting off being a good resort in the past

Check-in was excellent. Sandra at the front desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they surprised us with a room upgrade. The entire experience was smooth and made us feel valued from the moment we arrived.

We only stayed for a night but it was so worth it. Beautiful place to spend a night or two. Nice restaurants and the pools are great. We will be coming back

Enjoyed our stay!

The rooms and bathrooms were updated. The spa is in serious need of updates. The buffet brunch was plentiful but the quality was so-so. Stick with the made to order food

The staff here are remarkable. Extremely nice facilities and lots of ambiance.

Grounds are gorgeous Multiple amenities and activities offered Room very nice but missing soap, laundry bags and other essentials. Spa whirlpool and sauna area not kept well , no visible staff Dirty towels all over Spa Pool needs a lot of attention. Chop house very expensive and 3 out of 4 dinners should have been returned . Tough, chewy $70 steak, fish not edible $60 . We did not return it because not our style. Just won’t go back . Desserts however were exceptional probably the best we ever had . Waiter was very good but his support staff had amnesia so he did not have enough help. Menus were left on the table, had to ask for bread and silverware 3 times. This was the job of the support staff not the waiter. Front desk staff was very efficient and helpful. Very nice valet staff as well. If you like to golf just a stunning golf course. If you use the amenities, it’s a great place to stay, but I would avoid eating there. What should be a high-end chophouse does not meet the expectation for the price in my opinion. Little morning cafe very good but could use either a better system or more staff to move the people more efficiently through. I would definitely stay there again because it’s so beautiful and there are a lot of positives, but I would not eat there.

Staff were ok, but just ok. The person carving the prime rib Saturday 4/18 night is definitely NOT a people person. He just didn't give that "you're a welcome guest" vibe, that's for sure. The server that delivered our in room dining Saturday morning was just lovely, however. There isn't much they can do about the layout of the resort, but it's the absolute worst. We were in building 2 and you had to go up some stairs to go back down some stairs to go back up some stairs to get to the lobby, restaurants, or pool. And the directional signs made it clear as mud.

Pricing of everything is insane for the lack of quality for some activities.
