Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Lake Geneva Resort by IHG

We enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. The resort and hotel were in great shape and worth every penny. Exceeded our expectations! We are hoping to come back!

I love this property I vacation here frequently. For the first time while checking in, I did not feel very welcomed. The couple next to me and others were being offered a champagne beverage Upon arrival. But I was not. After checking into my room, we discovered that there was a leak in the ceiling due to air conditioning issues. I also over heard other guest complain about the air conditioning issues in the building. We requested another room, but we were told that there weren’t any rooms available. We decide it not to stay. And that itself was extremely disappointing. Because we had just drove two hours to what we thought was gonna be a relaxing, mini vacation looking forward to a anniversary dinner at your location on the second floor that we completely love and look forward too.

The location is great. The layout of the room was great for a family with 2 kiddos. The balcony view of the golf course was really nice. The air-conditioning in our room was broken so it was not a very comfortable night. Check-in was also in the main building which was a little inconvenient.

I usually stay at the Holiday Inn for a conference in June and this was my third year in a row. While my stays here have generally been pleasant and unperturbed this time around was an actually bad experience with water dripping from the ceiling fan when it was raining, an unpleasant, mildewy smell throughout the room , and the bathroom and even the sheets when my wife checked in were dirty and had to be replaced though it took a good while to get hold of the hotel staff. Overall this unpleasant experience marred my initial positive impression of this hotel. I am not sure if I will stay here again.

Overall amenities, fitness center, restaurants, bar…everything!! None

Good size and well equipped unit. Proximity to golf course. Variety of restaurants. There was a huge conference there at the same time. This limited our access to restaurants etc We were actually asked to leave the lounge bar. Would have appreciated prior warning at check in so we could make other arrangements.

The staff at the Grand Geneva were helpful, but you are not a Grand Geneva guest, you are a Holiday Inn guest and they are not connected. No Holiday Inn staff on site.

Location and options for activities Need more dishes for cooking

1 bedroom suite was good sized. Nice kitchen although we ate out during our stay. Thier were grills outside that seemed popular as was the outdoor swimming pool. Want a kitchen, grill and swimming pool during your stay or want to hang around the greater Gran Geneva grounds with it's golf course and waterpark then this would be a good choice for you. Check in time is not until 4:00 in PM. Tried calling to see if we could get into room a little before 4 pm but only number I had was what was listed with booking.com which was holiday inn reservations in Florida which I called several times and call was not answered. Drove over to hotel, only to find room was not yet ready and we had to wait until 4:24 before a room was ready for us. This bad start probably docked them 2 stars on this review. The other thing that was weird is they shot off fireworks on a Sunday night starting around 9:15 PM very close to our room. FYI, Holiday inn check-in is handled by Grand Geneva resort lobby registration. No privavcy door between Bedroom and rest of unit.
