Chateau Royale Inn

The room? Broken furniture, broken bathroom door, broken shower, broken outlet... None of the pictures online seemed honest -- this place is on its last legs. I'd give it 1 star but it's walkable from town and the front desk refunded our second night when we bailed early because the hotel is so bad.

It was a very basic hotel but we weren't looking for anything fancy. Just a good place to sleep. Beds were comfy, air worked very well. Staff very helpful with suggestions of places to eat, attractions. If you are ever in Lake Geneva and looking for a cheap, awesome food Olympic family restaurant downtown

We got to hotel at 3:05 pm and had to wait for some to show up (a sign was up stating "out for 15 minutes".)a reception person came at 3:30pm. A kinda weird start. I left a tee shirt in the top drawer of a dresser and when I called back 5 hours after checking out they said they would look but they stated no one found a tee shirt. This seems strange since no one would want the shirt, so I suspect they did not really look for it. My bad for leaving it, just sad to lose a tee shirt which was a present to me from a class I taught s 20 years ago. My impression is that they did not look for it, perhaps they did, but that is how I feel. Room was ok, bed not the best, a small 15 year old tv, but a decent shower. I would not give this place a strong recommendation, but if I had to I would go back again. Place just needs upkeep and renovation.

This is a nice place to stay.staff are great people very helpful for what is going on in the community. My only complaint is the swimming pool was not available.

Close to town No elevator the floors were so dirty my socks and bare feet were black after walking on them. No blow dryer, I think they are charging way to much for no accommodation and no pool false advertising.

Location. Room was clean. Front desk staff was great. Bed was only ok. Sank to center. May have just been missing middle support.

Old room. Terrible bed. Horrible bathroom. Lake Geneva is a a dump town so the hotel price was horrible

Nice location, good space for parking. Friendly workers. As soon as you enter the lobby there is a very bad smell. In some cases a very offensive odor.

Love staying in the castle for Garycon.

The location is better than an other hotel I tried on the far side of the lake. Heavy trash around the hotel was cleaned up. Internet slightly improved. They do need to use diffrent channels on the WI fi broadcasts. Right now they are all in a center channel and are competing against each other. I would stay there again.

The sheets were clean and it was bed bug free Old facility. Needs weren't that comfy

Bathroom fan was very loud. Not clean. Room needs more electrical outlets.

Price Breakfast was not provided. No pool even though it was advertised. I stayed there almost 40 years ago and nothing has changed- same decore. The advertisement pictures were from the 80’s. No amenities, like a hair dryer or coffee maker. The room could have been cleaner and the hallways smelled like cigarettes. This was definitely false advertisement. The staff blamed it on Booking.com

Location vice and close Sheets seemed dirty, someone's hair was on one of the beds and alos in the sink.

The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful.Had all the right answers and helped us find our destination with easy directions Pool was out of service

We had 2 beds but there was only one towel and one rag. I know I could have asked for more but I had brought my own towels and rags so we didn’t use the one that was there. I was charged for stolen towels and when I called to explain all the owner said was I will double check with housekeeping and if that’s true I will take the charge off and hung up on me. If housekeeping is going to count towels and accuse someone of stealing then they need to put the correct amount of towels in the room to begin with.
