Golden Haven Hot Springs

We stayed in one of the soaking rooms and it was wonderful. We were provided with towels and salts to use specifically for the soaking tub. The tub was conveniently located in the main room with a view of the large screen TV which also could be pulled out from the wall and angled towards the tub and bed. We were a little confused about how the tv worked since it seemed that other guests were signed in to the streaming platforms, but that was likely user error. Perhaps a little note about logging in to streaming services next to the TV might be useful for others in the future. We were also able to access live channels. The room was clean, and had a microwave and mini fridge for our leftovers after eating out or for small grocery items from CalMart. The location is great and a short walk to downtown Calistoga. We were provided with robes at check in which were useful for the hot tubs and pools. There are two mineral water hot tubs of different temperatures and one large mineral pool for swimming. There are showers and changing rooms available in the pool area as well. They provided bicycles and helmets that we could take to ride during the desk hours. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great, except the air conditioning in the 2 bedroom room type. The main bedroom is great but the 2nd bedroom has no air conditioning.

Came here on a one day trip with my mom and she loved it. Would definitely come back.

Even though the property and rooms are somewhat dated, we could see some efforts to modernize areas. The mud room shower curtain and hot tub areas need updating, but our fantastic attendant was just terrific. One check in staff member was tough and a bit condescending with many visitors (she's in her 20's and eyerolling, calling everyone "dear' and not in a good way). The amenites and closeness to everything were terrific, and we loved the outdoor coffee stand and areas for outdoor relaxation including the bocce area. Love that they provide bicycles, also! The wait time for our check in was somewhat long, however our room amenites were great (except our hot tub has a leak in the faucet, and we were awakened by a shining light and loud sound similar to a fire alarm, but not?) and weren't provided any explanation why that occurred. The charm of this place is great, but areas need improving and repair including the photo shown here where there were gaps and rust and dated areas present. That being said, we did enjoy ourselves and would return here for another visit, and we could tell it's a well-loved space that's been a staple for decades! Thankful to have come for our first visit and are hopeful that with some tweaks that it can be a more affordable and cozy option vs the larger competitor we noticed who is about to take up a whole other block with new construction nearby.

Great spot for a stay in Calistoga. Central to everything and has everything you need. Rooms were spacious and parking was so easy. Even have EV charging stations. Overall very pleased with our trip

Beautiful location overlooking California hills. Peaceful and quiet. Gorgeous landscaping and calming fountains. Clean rooms with spring fed water to continue the experience. Soft bedding and comfy beds. Spring fed pool for year around use that is lovely. Relaxing sundeck . Has free onsite parking. Complimentary water refill station and daily fruit infused water. Would have stayed longer if I’d had more vacation time. Will return.

What a lovely stay!

I was always greeted with a kind, warm, smile. Everyone was so helpful and relaxed. As my first spa experience (mud bath-must do) they walked me through the process with ease. Borrowing a bike was simple and a fun flat ride to town. While hot outside, time can still be enjoyed under their covers by the bocci ball and darts yard. Bonus: They are only .3 miles away from a nice trailhead.

Wonderful stay

I like that it was a family owned business everyone was down to earth and really nice. The rooms are not new, but everything was really clean except we had ants in room 26. We did the salt scrub and a 75 minute massage which were both really great. Overall, a really good experience will be back for sure.😊

Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed the amenities and conciensense staff.
