Residence Inn by Marriott Camarillo

The property was very beautiful. The room was very nice but when I checked out at 8 o'clock that morning, I went to the front desk and asked if I could have a late check out. I asked for one, but she told me she could only give me till 12 30 12 o'clock. The man came knocking at my door saying that we had to leave. I told her that I had a 1230 checkout. She said, that's not on her list very rudely. Then she proceeded to tell me that she was going to go to the front desk and check. I said, please do that. Then when I checked out exactly 1230, Mary was at the front desk. When she proceeded to check me out, I said, can I get a receipt? That's when she informed me that there was a $15 fee for the room I said when I checked in, nobody told me about that. I don't mind paying the $15. It's just the principle of it when I told her about the maid service and I told her about the parking she cocked an attitude with me when I told her that I was going to write a survey regarding that, then she waived the fee.. this property doesn't communicate with their maid service of what's going on. At 12 o'clock, I had company over talking business and then I get a knock at the door rudely by maid after I was already told from the front desk, employee not Mary, but the other lady.That was there at eight o'clock that I can stay till twelve thirty. When You call then on miscommunication , they get very rude at the desk. We pay a lot of money at this property and don't deserve rudeness.

The room had the bedroom seperate from the living room and the kitchen. I usually cannot sleep in hotel rooms because I feel trapped with nowhere to go should I toss and turn. Not this time, I slept very well - could very well be that I didn’t feel that claustrophobic feeling.

Central location for awesome activities. Top tier quality for, accomadations, location, services, staff teams. Lovely grounds, pool, and building design. Private, not over crowded. Kind guests.

Courteous staff, easy in extending checkout time by an hour. Small room, overpriced for what you get.

Everything was great and I like that the pool stayed open late The room floor was creeky. There was a few areas in the room that I didn't want to walk on because it made noise. I thought it would be annoying to the room below us. I even woke up my family a couple of times trying to be quit due to the floor.

The rooms are so outdated. The linens looks old. The bathrooms are with stains. Really disappointed with Marriott specifically this one.

Baseboards dirty Air conditioner was too loud, and prevented a good night’s rest

Easy freeway access, nice morning breakfadt, very nice staff. Dark, dated rooms and furnishings. Nothing in walking distance and no on site dining facilities.

We stayed (3 adults) in a two room suite. It was large, comfortable, and more convenient than separate rooms. It was also less expensive than booking two separate rooms. The staff were dry friendly. The breakfast (included) was decent. The food was average, but there was a wide variety of choices and plenty of both hot food and cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruits.

It was very peaceful and very quiet.

Overall the property is well maintained and the rooms are clean. The property is very close to 101 and Old Town Camarillo, outlets and restaurants. The major issue I had was deceptive pricing. Orbits/ Marriott does not disclose there is a $15 self park per day charge. You find out about the charge when you check in. Pricing that you see on Orbitz is NOT the final price. They should be more transparent in their pricing when booking.

Metal spring sticking out of bed. Shower pressure low. Shower nozzle leaking. Toilet paper holder broken. Bath tub pipe clogged.

The staff is always very nice and friendly at this hotel. The rooms are clean and well maintained.

The comfortable rooms, friendly staff and the location. The spa needed to be Re plastered.
