Clean, large and great location Self check in is not self explanatory, would be nice to know up front. That being said staff were very attentive when questions arose
-
Location There was no where to store luggage for early arrivals or later departures. Hair dryer did not work.
-
communication between us was a bit awkward. No real person to connect with

The walls were very thin and we could literally hear people opening their suitcases in the next room, and there was no staff at all. They do everything by text and key pad codes. It would have been nice to have a human or two on the premises…

The room was charming. I loved the room. The lack of staff. If I had wanted to stay in an airbnb I could have done that but I thought there would be just a little more service. If the coffee machine runs out of water, I have to replace it?

Unique, renovated home turned into a small hotel. Great ambiance. Lousy facilities and space utilization. Start with no refrigerator The closet has room for one, but instead has a stand up fan, a space heater and an ironing board. I was traveling with food and brought back leftover food from dinner. To prevent it from spoiling I had to put the food in the bathroom sink and keep adding ice. The fact that the ice machine is in the basement of another building made this whole thing a royal pain in the ass. To put this in perspective Comfort Inn and Motel 6 have refrigerators in each room. Second, the shower is minuscule and took over 5 minutes to heat up, still not reaching the temperature level of the sink and tub. The sink has no counter. Lastly, a 10:00am checkout time?!?! In 30 years of traveling I have never seen one that early. In summary, Prentiss House is the hotel benchmark of form over function.

Location is great. Comfortable rooms, quiet. No refrigerator in room.

Privacy and the ability to come and go as we pleased. This is minor, but just the trek up the stairs.

Overall, perfect space for business travel. Rooms are spacious, quiet, clean, updated. The common space on the first floor was a very positive surprise, with dozens of private-feeling seating spaces spread around both a well-appointed inside and (very extensive) outside patio. Coffee available at all hours from a modern multi-spout Nespresso Vertuo. Strong wifi. I had an hours-long business workshop meeting in the outdoor gardens on the patio, secluded from any city noise, and effectively private as no one else was meeting / hanging out in the space, which was a real treat you never get at attended hotel lobbies. The old-world charm of the place and its proximity to Porter Square Red Line plus the many good restaurants and coffee shops was an added bonus.

No breakfast would have liked. but coffee was good, once I figured out how to use the machine correctly The room was very comfortable, clean, bright.

Location and comfort

It is very well located, the room is big and confortable, clean and new. We loved it. We wish the comun areas were a little bit warmer so we could enjoy them more. I highly recomend this place

Close to the 87. I have been staying at this hotel for YEARS. I cannot believe how rundown this place has become. The rugs are stained through out the hallways along with room furniture falling apart. The shower was repaired with a huge patch and the tub floor was squishy. The hairdryer didn’t work and the bathroom mirror was scratched up. I would say this place is in dire need up many updates and smelled of tobacco and marijuana. It was pretty shabby.

Checkout time was unreasonably early and it was ridiculous our request to extend it was denied.

The toilet clogged up and was unusable. Was able to speaker to a team member on the emergency line but all they did was apologize and ask me to use the plunger in the bathroom! It wasn’t even the right plunger. Had to use the lobby bathroom. They agreed to do a full refund and waiting for it. No one called to check in or follow up. Very disappointed.

The house is quaint, the room comfortable and roomy and the common areas were very inviting. Nespresso maker did not work well for me. It seemed to only work with certain pods.

Fabulous location , beautiful historic Inn, well appointed rooms and common areas. Lovely! Although not having an onsite reception felt a little odd, staff were very responsive via email. I look forward to returning.

The location and lobby of the house were nice. Walking distance from the train On our 3rd night, the power went off in our room only. We called the emergency line and they were offshore phone operators and didn’t have the correct instructions for us to reset the circuit breakers. They tried to get ahold of management and no one answered. We were forced to get a new hotel room at midnight because the room was freezing. The bathtub also did not drain even after cleaners came to unclog it. The HVAC was awful and our door lock didn’t work. This is an older house but these are all things that can be updated for guest comfort. We received a refund for the nights we had to switch hotels, but they refused to compensate us for the high price of the other hotel that we were forced to book at midnight due to their negligence. I love inns but would not stay here again.

Everything was wonderful: the room, the cleanliness, and the location. They also always had coffee and tea available for guests. The only difficult thing was contacting the property. Several times, I asked them to text me through WhatsApp because I didn’t have Messenger available. It never happened, so some of my last inquiries went unanswered

There’s no elevator for big luggages. It would be better to request for a ground floor room if you have big luggages.
