Location is great. Comfortable rooms, quiet. No refrigerator in room.
-
Privacy and the ability to come and go as we pleased. This is minor, but just the trek up the stairs.

Overall, perfect space for business travel. Rooms are spacious, quiet, clean, updated. The common space on the first floor was a very positive surprise, with dozens of private-feeling seating spaces spread around both a well-appointed inside and (very extensive) outside patio. Coffee available at all hours from a modern multi-spout Nespresso Vertuo. Strong wifi. I had an hours-long business workshop meeting in the outdoor gardens on the patio, secluded from any city noise, and effectively private as no one else was meeting / hanging out in the space, which was a real treat you never get at attended hotel lobbies. The old-world charm of the place and its proximity to Porter Square Red Line plus the many good restaurants and coffee shops was an added bonus.

Location and comfort
-
It is very well located, the room is big and confortable, clean and new. We loved it. We wish the comun areas were a little bit warmer so we could enjoy them more. I highly recomend this place

I would say this place is in dire need up many updates and smelled of tobacco and marijuana. It was pretty shabby.

Nice location, nice house The toilet clogged up and was unusable. Was able to speaker to a team member on the emergency line but all they did was apologize and ask me to use the plunger in the bathroom! It wasn’t even the right plunger. Had to use the lobby bathroom. They agreed to do a full refund and waiting for it. No one called to check in or follow up. Very disappointed.

The house is quaint, the room comfortable and roomy and the common areas were very inviting. Nespresso maker did not work well for me. It seemed to only work with certain pods.

Checkout time was unreasonably early and it was ridiculous our request to extend it was denied.

Fabulous location , beautiful historic Inn, well appointed rooms and common areas. Lovely! Although not having an onsite reception felt a little odd, staff were very responsive via email. I look forward to returning.

The location and lobby of the house were nice. Walking distance from the train On our 3rd night, the power went off in our room only. We called the emergency line and they were offshore phone operators and didn’t have the correct instructions for us to reset the circuit breakers. They tried to get ahold of management and no one answered. We were forced to get a new hotel room at midnight because the room was freezing. The bathtub also did not drain even after cleaners came to unclog it. The HVAC was awful and our door lock didn’t work. This is an older house but these are all things that can be updated for guest comfort. We received a refund for the nights we had to switch hotels, but they refused to compensate us for the high price of the other hotel that we were forced to book at midnight due to their negligence. I love inns but would not stay here again.

Everything was wonderful: the room, the cleanliness, and the location. They also always had coffee and tea available for guests. The only difficult thing was contacting the property. Several times, I asked them to text me through WhatsApp because I didn’t have Messenger available. It never happened, so some of my last inquiries went unanswered

The whole place is quiet, clean and secure. It is near restaurants. The staff are also very nice. There’s no elevator for big luggages. It would be better to request for a ground floor room if you have big luggages.
-
garden/courtyard the HVAC was very noisy and partially broken we asked for quiet but were put next to the front door, which was noisy

- It is a staffless place. There is no one to greet you, check you in/out, help you out, or take your luggage in for storage. There is no one to watch your luggage either if you left it for storage after checking out (you just have to hope all is going to be fine?). - There are only stairs, and very steep stairs -- and you will have to carry your luggage by yourself. - The place is historical, but so is the AC. The AC unit was so loud that it was impossible to sleep. And when you switch it off, you can still hear the AC that is working in a neighboring room. - There are not enough power sockets, and they are in weird places, not comfortable to use at all. - All communication with the property is through email; you can't even call them, the phone number they provide is for emergencies only. - Rooms were not optimized for sleep quality. Blinds did not cover the window fully, and I had sunlight shining in my face since early morning, disrupting my sleep. Side lamps have little lights that always shine. You clearly see nobody cared to optimize for the quality of a guest's sleep. I will not stay in this place again and regret having chosen it.

Being able to make coffee in our room.

The house and room were very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Communication with the staff was easy and quick. Instructions for access, parking and check-in/out were thorough and easy to follow.

I loved that it felt secured, secluded, cozy, and all exceeded expectations!! we loved everything

Loved the house - very charming. Also appreciated the lounge areas - both inside and out. We rented 3 rooms for our 4 family members and it was lovely to socialize in the lounge spaces- coffee in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evening. The coffee was good. This was our second time staying at the Prentiss House and we will stay again. Wi fi was spotty
