Carlyle Hotel

This was my 2nd stay at the Carlyle Hotel. Everything was perfect/superb.

Very nice and cute hotel.

Parking is convenient and covered garage, Disappointed as I was charged for early checkin $30 and I have never been charged for this and have been accommodated with an early check in for several of my stays and never charged this before.

I was counting on the waffle breakfast to save my workers time and keep them happy.....

Good stay overall, but my issue was that the staff and housekeeper were knocking too early in the morning. I know what time check-out is, and I didn't request a reminder. Respect guests' sleep time.

Great value for the price. Rooms are huge. On-site parking which is convenient.

The only negative was that there was no continental breakfast only coffee. If I was back in the area I would book this place again.

Great staff, great hospitality, great room.

The staff member who checked us in was pleasant and friendly. But the gentleman who handled the evenings rubbed us the wrong way on a couple of occasions. The first night, the sink had issues. The cold water, was very hot, like hotter than the hot. Then it trickled down to a very weak stream. We understood that someone would fix it in the morning. We were reassured we would be compensated for that first night's stay. The next day, the water was back to "normal". But by night, the cold would get very hot again. Later, I had to go to the front desk to ask for another blanket. He seemed a little bothered that he had to come out to help me. But he eventually gave me another blanket. When I asked for the QR code for the housekeeping staff, he checked around a bit then just told me to leave cash. Ok... When we checked out we asked about the compensation and he told us he couldn't do anything because we booked through Expedia. He never took the initiative to inform us. It's unfortunate that our interactions with him tainted our experience at the Carlyle.

Staff was very kind. They upgraded our room because the one we booked was unavailable.

OK. My mistake. We checked in, took a rest and moved on without sleeping our first PAID night. We came back late the next night of our booked & paid stay to find: Our room had been sold to someone else. Poor guy. 11:30PM with us trying to get into OUR room - also HIS room. He was gracious. Desk guy got us a different room but I felt both angry & embarrassed. “3rd Party Booking” meant we could not, allegedly, be compensated.

Towels and bed made each day. Had leftover hair was left on the bathroom counter during checkin. Bathroom was stocked with soap and toiletries which was nice. During my stay they were cleaning the carpets which was nice. Wish they offered bottled water/ice machine signage lacked.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Overall great value.

Convenient

Very nice hotel and convenient location to many sights, stores, and restaurants. Super clean and extra comfy bed! Will definitely stay here again!
