Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Canton

Great location, reasonable price and newly updated property. Staff was excellent and did their best being short handed. From the front desk to the cleaning crew—they all deserve a raise!

Side door was broken a wouldn’t shut all the way. No security access needed for side door. Short staffed so wait was long to even get a room. Front desk was super friendly and you could tell felt bad about the delays. Ice machine broken. Not sure I would stay at a Fairfield Inn again after this experience.

The hotel was fine for the purpose. We spent 5 nights here over HOF week so we didn’t spend much time in the room itself. The ice machine was down, the laundry facilities didn’t work but it was clean & the staff was super helpful. Especially the young lady who checked us in. I didn’t catch her name.

The staff at the desk was friendly and helpful. The furnishings, however, need an update. The regular rooms did not include a microwave. The TV had to be unplugged to turn it off. The shower supplies needed replenishment, water pressure was lacking, and regulating the water temp difficult. We were expecting better from Fairfield.

To the broken phone, the tv that worked sometime, the wasp nest in between the window and screen or mold in the ac unit. Not to mention both side doors to exit the building that didn’t even shut, providing zero security protection. Oh and if you are a light sleeper the freeway noise will keep you tossing and turning all night. The staff was excellent and super helpful!

Construction was never mentioned, room not ready when told, pool closed first 2 days, zero sense of security - every entrance has no locks, remained propped open with no way to even latch. Festival weekend yet staff had issues with me showering at 11:15pm

Stayed 7 days only 1 day of room housekeeping even after notifying the front desk twice; unmanned front desk for several minutes after hours, very unsecure; no ice maker machine

Booked two days in advance n Expedia supposedly had it reserved but got there n no room then a relocate 25 minutes away n then another relocate to one close by the fisrst. Was there at 7 from work n finally after all the mess got in room around 1:39 am. Terrible experience but staff was very helpful and nice

Parking was terrible. Dumpster taking up a lot of space. Clerk had trouble getting key programmed.

The ice machine was out for my entire stay, and the pool was not only out of order, but empty. The staff was great, but it's hard for their hospitality to overcome some of the other issues. I was also twice forced to park in the street as there was no parking available.
