Hampton Inn & Suites Canton

Overall it was a nice place, perfect staff, good breakfast but the indoor swimming pool was disgusting. My son stepped in saw a giant wad of hair and ran out. I then noticed it was exceptionally cloudy for an indoor pool but both made sense when I saw there was 0 water movement which meant 0 filtration and maintenance. Also there were youth football tournaments in the area and apparently Hampton allowed some of them to stay in a room unsupervised because although the nice person at the desk asked them to quiet down at MIDNIGHT, I had to call back 15 minutes later and she had to find an adult supervisor to talk to them. 5.5 hours later my 6am alarm to get on the road for an 8 hour solo drive went off. Not happy! Yes, I could have slept another hour but had plans for Sunday afternoon. Again, great staff, very underwhelming facility.

Rooms were clean and up to date. Staff was friendly. Had a great selection for breakfast. Only problem we ran into was the pool area had way too much chlorine in it. Made you eyes water and cough. Other than that great place to stay.

I had a couple of issues, one was the bathroom. There was black gunk and hair in the corners and behind the toilet as the floor had not been cleaned sufficiently in weeks or months. It looks like they just ran a mop over the center of the floor. I always bring lysol spray and paper towels, so I cleaned it myself. Another issue I had was that I cut my foot on a small shard of glass on the pool deck. The floor is made of tiny pebbles in grout,, and I am sure it is difficult to clean up after a glass breakage. Otherwise the room was pretty clean, and the staff was very friendly. The room was very large and comfortable...it was actually a small suite. Microwave and refrigerator were clean. Would I stay there again? Probably would.

Very comfortable and clean room. We slept well, the beds were comfortable, and the temperature in the room was easy to control. Our check-in was seamless. I wanted more places to hang towels and washcloths, but the bathroom was clean and the shower had good pressure. We will stay here again if we are in the area.
