Best Western Carlisle South

We reported the issue to the front desk, and they moved us to another room upstairs. Unfortunately, the second room had the same problems—it also smelled of smoke, and there was visible mold in the bathroom. By that time, it was already after midnight, and we were exhausted from traveling, so we had no practical choice but to stay. However, the conditions raised serious health and safety concerns. The strong mold and smoke odors made the room uncomfortable, and the visible black mold was unacceptable for a hotel that advertises non-smoking accommodations. I expect the hotel to address these issues and consider appropriate compensation for the unsanitary and unsafe conditions.

The room smelled as soon as we entered like cigarettes had to spray perfume in order for us to make it through the night. The bathroom tub was disguising like it wasn’t cleaned at all. The sheets didn’t look cleaned I saw blood stains on the sheets I had to go buy sheets from the store in order to sleep.

Bathroom was leaking and had water damage. Check in person was fine. Put my stuff down in room, closed curtain, immediately saw bedbug on the curtain and departed property. Wasn’t in room for more than 5 mins. Informed management for reason of departure. Never heard anything. Hotel is advertised as having a “seasonal pool” and was not available. From the state of the property this looks to have been the case for years. Do not recommend.

Room was clean and modern. Staff was helpful via phone and facilitated quick check in/check out. The only down side was limited breakfast options, but all things considered, happy with the value.

Asked for a refund. Said they couldn’t do that on short notice. Settled with another set of sheets that were also stained. At Breakfast some of the machines were out of order (ex. Coffee/tea) Overall just felt grossed out by everything and the lack of effort from employees to try to fix anything. Would never stay again!

This hotel was just OK. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Looked like they had been renovated recently with new carpet, tile and furniture. But the tub had not been switched out, so it was old and stained. But the price was great and we will probably stay here again! It is the halfway point for our trips to Boston, and downtown Carlisle was so cute and easy to get to.

Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, conveniently located…hope to stay again.

I checked in online but still had to go to the desk when I got there to get my room key. There were 4 people checking-in in front of me. Each check in took over 5 minutes. I stood there for over 30 minutes waiting to check-in. Then we got our room key and went to our room. It was dirty. Clearly never wiped down. The bathroom counter had hairs on it as well as water rings from the previous persons stay. The breakfast was sparse. They did not refill anything. Breakfast was 6-9. We arrived at 7:45 and it was cleared out. 1 muffin, no mix for waffles, no coffee. We asked for coffee and were told that the machine is now broken. Terrible. After breakfast we asked the pool hours so we could go there. It was closed, indefinitely. When we packed up to leave we double checked before we left and found a pair of UNDERWEAR in the corner, not ours. GAG! Do better Best Western South.

The room was clean when we arrived. Parking available at the hotel was good. No issues.

What a dump! Room smelled musty with black mold around the tub and on the wall in the bathroom. Swimming pool was green on the first weekend in June. Trash scattered around the parking lot.The dog potty station was overflowing with used bags. Overall not a pleasant place.

The property was run down. The grass was long. The pool was closed and empty. The pet clean up station was over flowing with full bags and falling over. There was a trash can by the rear entrance that was over flowing and people just started putting trash next to it. It wasn’t touched for three days. The room was sub par. The bathroom door had holes in it. The motion light switch for the main entry light was annoying and the cover was broken so the inside was exposed. The walls to the side of the beds were dirty and had holes in them. They never told us during check in that if we wanted the room cleaned to put the sign on the door. When we did put up the sign all they did was take the dirty towels and empty the trash. The bed spread had holes in it.

Nice property,though the entry and exit was a bit tight to get around. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. Clean rooms, nicely done. The bathroom was dated and the tub had black mold around the edges. A/C worked good. Outside was nice but a fair amount of trash and a number of the A/C unit covers were hanging off. Breakfast was a complete joke. I witnessed and was a victim of the Cold eggs, I mean ICE cold eggs. the person taking care of it was notified, she just said sorry and walked away! Wasnt even going to bother going back for breakfast.

The bathtub was filthy, missing the plunger cover and drain cover. Two of the outlets in the room didn't work. With the heat, we were excited at the opportunity of a pool to come back to. Nope. Empty and dirty. No notes on reservations about the pool being out of commission The photos of the lobby are without a doubt the nicest catfish scenario for checking into a hotel. The rooms in no way resemble the condition of the actual rooms. When we come back to the area, we will find a different place to stay.

Just what we needed last minute. Clean, updated, no odors, all good. Will stay again in future, good prices too! Front desk girl very helpful and knowledgeable.

Booked this hotel for a car event and chose this one for the fact it had a pool. When we arrived we noticed there was a pool but there was no water in the pool. When we got to our room I tried to put the tv on after a 7 hour drive and the TV wouldn’t work. I tried everything I could to restart the cable box with no luck. I went to call the front desk and noticed the phone in the room also didn’t work. I called down on my personal phone to ask for some help with the tv they said they would get back to me and never heard anything. The next day we asked for a new cable box or for someone to come look at it, they looked at it said they would be back to fix the issue and never came back. The next morning the shower was cold and the shower door was broken. I’m not one to complain but for the price it was frustrating. It was decently clean and provided a roof over our head for a few days.

The room was clean and ready to go for us. The staff was helpful and nice

This property is nothing as described or shown.. some of the rooms have been remodeled and updated others haven’t. The ones that haven’t been updated are musty with plaster falling off and paint chipping. The pool was brown and not even functioning….very disappointing. Will not be staying here again
