Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

The AC in our first room smelled like mildew, the tile floor was damp, we had them move us the next day, it was better but still had a mildew smell.

Staff very friendly; reservation went through w/o a hitch. However had to ask for another room do to unsupervised teen and sub-teenage soccer team girls noisey yelling and screaming. The rooms themselves are very poorly insulated against hallway and overhead external noises. Then, on day of departure...no cook on-hand, so, no breakfast for us; which was actually a blessing because $13 for a single scrambled egg and $8 for an 8oz O.J. is not competitive.

Spacious rooms, great for families with small kids.

Branden was extremely helpful with the check in early and very accomidating

Centrally located, which was a plus.

Clean room and hotel property, very quiet did not even know we were close to the airport.

Additionally despite having a huge parking lot in an industrial park and no security, they charge $15 a night for parking. I’ve never seen that at a Courtyard. There’s too many equally priced places to stay to put up with this nonsense.

Our room was on the first floor close to the exit and it was very noisy in the morning. I could hear people talking out in front every morning. I would request a room on another floor.

Check in was easy , and place was clean. Area is pretty quite with some great restaurants nearby.
