Check in was easy , and place was clean. Area is pretty quite with some great restaurants nearby.

We only stayed for one night - but really enjoyed the hotel and room - very clean, super pleasant staff, comfortable bed and room (suite) was very large and nice. Will definitely stay here again - and next time will stay longer!

The location is quiet and an easy drive to fast-food restaurants, Legoland, shopping, and access to the freeway. Overall, a great stay.

It's an older property that has been remodeled. I have stayed at different hotels for business and personal travel, and the staff at this location definitely does an outstanding job of keeping it clean. Every morning, the carpet in the hall seemed just vacuumed, and the rooms were sparkly cleaned; there was no dirty, moldy-looking grout in the bathrooms or shower, or any sign of the previous guest (food crumbs on the carpet or spider webs on the corners), as we have found in another competitive hotel chain. The only downside is that the sink area is small for storing personal toiletries, and the shower has low water pressure. The bed and pillows were comfortable, as was the room's size. There's just a pool and no jacuzzi. And the food options at the property are limited. But overall, it was a great stay.

I booked this hotel many weeks in advance.I have received many confirmation notices. I also paid an additional amount for insurance in case my trip changed dates. I also paid a $300 deposit. When I arrived around 4 pm (the time listed for check in) they said they were booked solid and my reservation was cancelled. I had to find another place across town at a much higher rate. Not happy. Please confirm all of my refunds. If they honored our reservation!!!

Staff was great but the hotel was very basic. More so than the other courtyards I’ve stayed at.

Well, I am shocked. I haven’t had a hotel stay this bad in long time and that was in a motel. What I got here was not the listing that I believed I was getting that you put on your website regarding the hotel nor the room. I got an industrial type restroom or bathroom. I guess this is standard in most of these Marriott rooms now where you don’t have a countertop. That is unacceptable. Also there was fine print about disabled disability accessible according to the manager this gets a lot of people I didn’t get a bathtub and it was a fitness center Jim type shower, which was awful. The mattress was awful. It wasn’t even a mattress. It was like a futon on a flat slippery fake wood, substance or surface. It was awful. The room was way too dark and I mean so dark with even all the lights on I had to break out a flashlight. This was not what you advertised in your listing, and the manager believed me and gave me a discount as you’re aware and gave me some points extra. It doesn’t matter I don’t think I’m going to book a hotel room with you anymore. That’s Expedia. And I believe there was potentially some bait and switch here. I am not happy that was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had and I won’t be staying at a Courtyard Marriott like this ever again doesn’t matter where it is. I also will not be using your service to book my rooms ever again!! What I got was not what I saw on your website and what I thought I was gonna get.

Very bad wet carpet smells coming from our room
-
The hotel itself was fine; however, there was no hair dryer in the room. Additionally, there should be at least two people at the restaurant at night, so guests don’t have to wait too long for their food. I would recommend the hotel.

From day one room had a very bad smell to it advised staff they stayed carpets just got cleaned and sometimes odor does come out

It’s a nice, clean, quiet hotel. Nothing fancy. What else could you ask for? :-)
-
The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous as well as the breakfast staff.
-
The property was close to the Carlsbad airport, so that was convenient. The staff were helpful.
