Candle Light Inn

We had a wonderful stay at the Candle Light Inn!! It was perfectly located to be able to walk through Carmel. The manager was very kind, personable, and gave us recommendations for places within the town for eating, shopping, etc. The rooms were very spacious and nice! We loved the fireplace courtyard in the front - perfect place to start or end the evening! Definitely would recommend :)

We LOVED our stay here and can’t wait to go back! It was beautiful, the staff was so sweet and the room was clean and well maintained. We will definitely go again!!

Magical hotel in the heart of Carmel

Very nice & clean property. One small issue was the weak water pressure in the shower. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

Grateful for the helpful staff and enjoyed the comfortable bed.

Perfect location for all of the places we like to visit. The room is very clean, as usual. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. This is our Carmel go-to.

The cleanness of the room

The location is great. All the sights are walkable in a few minutes. Restaurants, Cafe´s are close by. The staff was very friendly and the cookies at the front desk are delicious. Rooms felt very comfortable. The bathroom was a little dark.

The room was very spacious. There was a K cup machine for coffee, although it was French roast, which is not our favorite would recommend bringing some of your own K cups. They had complementary homemade cookies that were delicious. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

The location is perfect on San Carlos between 5th and 6th streets. It is a short walk to Ocean and most anywhere in Carmel. Restaurants close by for breakfast and dinner. Our favorite breakfast place is Katy's and bar/restaurant A.W. Shucks. Our room was immaculately clean and had been completely updated. Laurie at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. Everyone gets a parking slot which is huge for Carmel because parking is a terrible issue in town No air conditioning but if you crack your windows open in the back it is very comfortable

You don't even need to take your car anywhere, the location is amazing, the rooms are super clean, this is the 2nd time we've stayed there, and the experience is always the same.

Excellent place to stay. Spacious and everything was well themed and in walking or short drive distances. The city of Carmel is definitely worth a stop on your way to wherever you're going.

Great place!

Location was incredible and the staff was welcoming! They even gave us a bottle of wine for our three year wedding anniversary! Very thoughtful. It was expensive, but still worth it!

Very clean, large and comfortable Nothing

The location is great and close to many restaurants and shops. The property is clean and staffs are very friendly and helpful

Charming and very convenient access to the beautiful little village of Carmel by the Sea.

Late check in. With prices going up everywhere it seems since you pay for a full day you should be able to check in earlier in the afternoon

The parking lot is small and the way in and out is very steep
