Candle Light Inn

You don't even need to take your car anywhere, the location is amazing, the rooms are super clean, this is the 2nd time we've stayed there, and the experience is always the same.

Excellent place to stay. Spacious and everything was well themed and in walking or short drive distances. The city of Carmel is definitely worth a stop on your way to wherever you're going.

Location… room updated and comfortable Late check in. With prices going up everywhere it seems since you pay for a full day you should be able to check in earlier in the afternoon

Very scenic and close to everything, nice town it’s in. The parking lot is small and the way in and out is very steep

Mentioned to front desk the next day they could give us 1:00pm checkout. We were already checking out so that did no good. Location great

We have stayed at sister inns to this, and it is clearly inferior. It is an old hotel and struggles to meet what we expect when travelling these days. The furniture choices make the small space feel even more cramped than it is. The beds were a special sore point; they nearly drowned you in excessive comforters, and the sheets were too big. The big plus is location, location, location; it sits in a perfect place to easily wander through Carmel.

We stayed here for a couple nights after a drive to Big Sur and the 17 mile drive. We loved the hot tub and fireplace! Room was large and decor was pretty and enjoyed the big comfy bed! Could have used a microwave but the fridge was good size. The walk to shopping, restaurant, and the beach was easy. We would recommend this property snd would stay here again.

The location and cleanliness were great. The staff was very accomodiating. There's no AC for the room and it was a warm weekend.

The property is convenient and clean. The lobby offers complimentary cookies, fruit, and a variety of drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water). The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and spacious.

Nice and polite people. Place seemed clean and well maintained. Good location. There isnt much in terms of amenities though. Fireplace outside is nice but you are surrounded by cars in the parking lot.
