Stilwell Hotel

Excellent hotel. Just a lovely group of courtyards with fire pits, wonderful staff and very nice rooms. Throughly enjoyed it and the location can't be beat. And super dog friendly!!

It is the perfect location for Carmel. Staff is outstanding and cleanliness is top notch. The room we had was a bit small for sure, but comfortable. The breakfast is healthy and tasty.

We were very happy with the clean and inviting atmosphere. The staff was helpful and breakfast was great! Parking and an electric charger was the icing on the cake after a long drive from Crescent City.

Absolutely amazing stay at The Stilwell Hotel. We were greeted with a seamless and friendly check-in as well as champagne on arrival, and everything felt thoughtful and elevated throughout. The rooms were clean, well stocked and the beds were divine. Loved the cozy patio with fire pits, nightly fresh made pizzas, cocktail service, and blankets, plus the included breakfast each morning was top notch (best elevated hotel breakfast I have EVER had)! The concierge texting service was incredibly convenient and responsive when needed. This was a place to remember and we would absolutely stay again!

This was a fantastic place to stay for us on our trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea! The hotel was right in the middle of town and made walking around the area really easy. There was plenty of parking at the hotel. Staff was super friendly. The best part of our stay was the fantastic breakfast variety and oven fired pizza that was included daily! This is definitely where we’ll be staying on our future trips to Carmel or Monterey :)

Seamless check in experience, centrally located on a charming street, well sized parking lot, clean rooms and common area with fire pits to grab a wine + pizza in the evening and/or breakfast in the morning. The lobby also sells bottles of wine to hang out with.

Close to the front desk, wish they could have moved me to a different room even the hotel seems not busy

Location is perfect off the main Ocean ave. So quiet and comfortable. The outdoor area fire ad water features make for a nice ambiance.

Lovely little hotel and fine for our one night getaway. My gripe is the pricing and extra cost per person per room (over 2 ppl) at $50, which at best covers a welcome drink and breakfast - it feels unnecessary at an already very high price point for accommodations that do not feel at all like it warrants the cost/not special. Pros - nice staff, AC, water and coffee available in the lobby. Cons - no elevator, our bathroom had a sewage scent. You only get one parking spot per room, FYI.

The Stilwell is a new hotel that has been thoughtfully built and furnished to a very high standard. The rooms are lovely with spacious bathrooms and fabulous showers. Attention to detail such as magnifying bathroom mirror. Low lights that are motion sensitive when you get out of bed or go into the bathroom. Lots of lovely white towels and face cloths and tissues that are not always available even in 5 star hotels. The staff are brilliant and greeted us with a glass of champagne. There is plenty of parking. Although there is not a restaurant they offer evening pizzas and snacks served in a lovely courtyard with lots of seating and outdoor gas heaters.

Could hear noises at night and smell food cooking for breakfast early morning Other than that everything is good, looks newly renovated.
