Holiday Inn Express Mackinaw City by IHG

This is the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Mackinaw City. I highly recommend this particular hotel if you need overnight accommodations in Mackinaw City. The next time we’re heading to Mackinac Island, we’ll choose this hotel for our lodging!

Was great, ran a little low on breakfast offerings but I’d definitely stay again. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff.

The hotel was ok. The staff was fantastic. The breakfast was always hot and plentiful. The only thing about the hotel was it was extremely noisy. The air conditioner and the bathroom fan was like a freight train coming through. Other than that everything was good. I would stay there again.

Mediocre hotel. One of our 2 rooms was not ready until 45 minutes after check-in--despite the receptionist calling me on my cell to tell me that the room was ready. Upon arriving back at the hotel, after leaving an enjoyable dinner at a restaurant because of this phone call, we were told that she called us "by mistake." The room was not ready. We lost much more than the 45 minutes. When my husband and I checked into our hotel room, we found 3 used washcloths hanging from the shower curtain rod. There was nowhere in the bathroom to hang a bath towel, hand towel or wash cloth, so we used a lot more towels than we normally would have. What a waste. I liked the plastic bin in the bathroom for used towels. The omelettes at breakfast would have been nice if they didn't taste like they came from a box. We did appreciate having coffee, tea and cocoa, as well as cookies, available in the lobby all day. The reception desk staff was helpful with directions and suggestions for walking around Mackinaw City. We also liked the beds and the quiet during the night.

Comfiest beds and pillows Pool area and hot tub were really gross - there was obvious grime built up along the water line and the deep end rope was falling apart

Great location if you want to be near the bridge.

The hotel’s breakfast was good for a quick start to the day. Everything was neatly presented and tasty. We enjoyed the pancake maker…first time using one. The staff member worked hard keeping up and restocking items. We had a wonderful stay! There were kids running up and down the hallway at 9:30-10:00 pm.

Check in was very easy. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay as it was close to a very good restaurant and Colonial Michilimackinac.

Breakfast had many choices. I would have preferred that a coffee pot would have been in the room. There was 24/7 coffee in the lobby.i like that one cup of coffee when i get up before leaving the room for breakfast. There was a local restaurant right across the street no need to drive anywhere.
