“The room was dirty on arrival and the bathtub was clogged basic upkeep that shouldn’t have been missed. Even more concerning: this is supposedly a non-smoking hotel, but the smell of smoke hits you throughout the entire building. Either housekeeping isn’t checking rooms between guests, or the no-smoking policy isn’t enforced at all. Would not recommend

Checking in I found out the elevator not working. Not good when I have to use a cane. Climbing one flight of stairs was okay. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and musty curtains. Everything else good.

We were not the only ones leaving because of infestation.

Hate to write a bad review but my room had roaches... I left as soon as I seen one .. other then that not much to say .. enjoy yer stay

I checked into this hotel off of the website when I got there I immediately knew I wanted a refund it was absolutely terrible I heard there was bugs there and everything do not book a room at Mainstay Hotel on Galena

The coffee pot was mussing, the drinking glasses were dirty so i was going to wash them however the racks to the dishwasher were missing. They finally found a bottom rack so i could not use it and not sure it worked anyway. I asked the desk for dish soap but they don’t stock it.

The elevator was out of order and we were put in rooms on the second floor. We were traveling with another couple and they had a roach in their room. There was also a pool of vomit in the hall outside the other couple’s room. We would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Filthy carpet, no breakfast, black tape in shower, sink about to come off wall, etc. There is no pros for this property.

After I booked I read the reviews. Many of the reviews claimed it was roach infested. I thought to myself....certainly they would address the problems and have everything corrected before my arrival. When we got to our room we were greeted by 4 roaches. There were two running around on the kitchen floor, one on the wall and one on the toilet seat. So sad. We walked out and went and found another hotel.

Rooms need to be better cleaned and sanitized.

Top notch, first class and the airport is right out the front door. Very quite at night.

The building looked very nice on the outside but the inside smelled gross, the cabinets in the room were falling apart, and worst of all, the room was crawling with bugs! We reported this to the front desk and they acknowledged an infestation and that they'd had an exterminator there the last few weeks. They asked hadn't we been informed at check-in? We were amazed! We would never have checked in had we been told! Thankfully they said they'd issue a refund and let us leave, but it has yet to appear on our card 4 days later.

Locks on side doors to entrance of building don’t work, employees are rude if you have to pickup Amazon packages or walk inside, the rooms have been vandalized, plumbing issues across all floors, cockroaches, ventilation systems have been damaged, some employees refuse to provide hotel folios so that you don’t have to pay taxes after 30 days…some drug addicts yell all night or whisper at walls, WiFi issues and cybersecurity issues…

Just the location and the staff Smells bad had roaches feels dirty beds and mattress needs to be replaced
