Love staying at any of the McMenamin's properties! So unique.

Very nice stay full of local history and trains. Nice to have ear plugs provided.

Quick trip to the West Side from North Idaho and after a long drive I was so excited we stumbled upon this fun place. The bed was super comfy for a Queen and I even shared with my kid. The train was loud, if your not use to it, but we asked for a fan and the white noise helped us sleep. Even in room 14 right across from the tracks ! We cant wait to come back and be able to explore deeper into this historic hotel - theater - possibly haunted establishment with the rest of our family. I also highly recommend the Juice Box down the way for a great tap selection and what looked like fun stage and seating. FYI - Dont for get to look up!

The bed was nice and comfortable. They provided plenty of towels and even a robe. The internet was terrible. Lost connection numerous times and had trouble working from my room. I knew I wouldn't have a tv and had to share a bathroom but thought I would have internet to work and watch shows online. The other things that was difficult to get past was the train. Yes, they did let me know about the train but my room was right outside the train tracks and the trains came by all day and night.

I enjoyed my stay at McMenamnins Olympic Club overall. The only thing that I didn't appreciate was the additional $50 fee charged to me at check in in case I were to lose the roomkey, which wasn't included in my initial charges and wasn't communicated to me until I was checking into the hotel. Other than that, it was great!

Friendly, fun, comfortable Even with the earplugs, it was hard to sleep due to the trains whistles every hour or so.

This hotel was built in the 1900s and has a-lot of charm. So if you don’t mind sharing your bathroom and the sounds of a train its lots of fun

A unique property that transports guests to the 1800s. The problems: a lot of noise from slamming doors and nearby trains. A cold room but the portable heater given to me at my request came without instructions and I was unable to set it to heat for more than a short time; I never warmed up. Instead, I wore double long-johns and 3 sweaters. Yes, the window was closed. Noise until midnight and cold temperature. Also, there was no elevator and 22 steps up the staircase to get to my room. I am OK with no elevator but, for an older person like me, the steps were a problem. Luckily, I did not fall on the staircase. No phone in the room.

Clean room, morning coffee provided, great local history on the walks, nice movie-burger-bevy combo on Th nights. If your room lock is problematic, remember it is ancient and get a staff memeber. Mine locked me out but the maintenance guy saved the day! Staff is chill and helpful 😉.

Fun and funky. Cute, tiny room. Neighbor in next room sang loudly for hours from 1am to 3am, playing music at top volume. Coffee wasn’t available until 7 and no way to make your own. Lots of drunks.

We love staying at the historic places McMenamin’s has restored! Delicious coffee ready for guests in the morning, robes in each room, a comfortable bed and clean room, a restaurant serving delicious food downstairs, all for $100 a night. Can’t find that anyplace I’d want to stay these days. The clean shared bath and the memories of the train whistle outside our room are a small price to pay for such a memorable night away.

The thing about staying at a McMenimans Property is that you have to be adventurous and willing to "step back in time". You may end up sharing a bathroom down the hall, and dealing with a little rust or noise. It's not modernized on purpose. The staff was great and the tour through history PRICELESS!
