Best Western Plus Champaign/Urbana Inn

Not up to Best Western standards.

Room was clean, the air conditioning was turned on, which was nice so we didn’t enter a hot room. Staff at check-in was courteous. I did not like that there was no staff at the front desk when we wanted to check-out. There was a bowl to place our room keys. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the keys, because someone could take the key and access the room. I left the keys without the sleeve that listed the room number. The breakfast was the standard fare. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked.

The hotel was quiet and clean. My room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was great too. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast with a good selection and a clean dining area. There is plenty of restaurants and shopping close by and right off the highway too.

Lovely hotel. I took stars off amenities because the fitness room doesn’t open until 8 am, which excludes most travelers.

Just the shower head was leaking out the bottom and down the hose.

They say dog friendly, but then they charge you $40 in addition to what you pay on Expedia when you check in with a dog.

Everything was excellent. I have ZERO Complaints. The Storms made the cable go out, but that was a minor thing.

Breakfast had lots of options, from cereal to yogurt, fruit, waffles, eggs and sausage, muffins , bread. Coffee, juices and milk

Enjoyed our 2 day stay - mom and 2 kids. Pool room was so hot and humid you could not breathe if you were spectating, but it’s also summer time and that did not take away from the stay.

Clean property with free parking. We did not eat breakfast there though.

Great location, nice people working there, everything was clean and worked well. Like so many American hotels, this place has a very minimal and not very appealing breakfast spread.

Good hotel for a stop along your route. No frills, but clean and helpful staff. Looks like it’s been recently remodeled.

Our room was clean, check in was easy. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Only thing I wasn't real happy about was the light outside our room made it look like daylight was trying to come in on the sides of the blackout curtains. Didn't even need a light to find my way to the bed after my shower.

I have 2 little dogs less than 14 lb each and we arrived at 5:30 pm and left at 4:30 AM (11 hours), and my fee for my 2 pups was $60. She wanted to charge me $80. I told her I will not be able to come back to that hotel again. There are many other nice hotels that charge $20 per dog. One would have thought I had standard poodles or of that size (I love poodles, they're great dogs) So that kind of ruined it for me. Yes, the room was clean when we arrived. And the room was clean when we left. On the Best Western website it states the maximum charge for dogs is $40 per room. I paid $60. Won't be back.
