I made a reservation for two queen beds online and it was quick and easy. When I arrived at the hotel, it was clean and inviting. I made a reservation for two queen beds and received one queen bed. When I asked as to why I did not receive the two queens, I was told that it's optional and there were no other rooms available. I was very disappointed with that answer. Why allow customers to select the option of two queen beds when the facility will determine what you receive? I will not be staying at another Candlewood in the future for this reason. Is it difficult to give a paying customer what they requested?

It was a very clean room, but they used the aromatic smell in the room. I had to leave once I woke up as it was giving me headache. But otherwise, great stay!

There was a lot of baseball teams staying in the area for the Rantoul tournament and there was NO WARE for the kids or parents to hang out. The hotel need a hang out area or lobby

Hallways smelled weird, but otherwise everything was clean.

The hotel overbooked. Despite having made the reservation several days in advanced, there were no rooms available. The woman at the front desk, Brittany, was very sympathetic and did her best to help us. Disappointed in the hotel for overbooking and with Hotels.com for the hoops we had to jump through to get the situation rectified.

Everything was really nice and I really enjoyed my stay

Staff explained that the card was charged early to confirm funds were available. However, the hotel already knew it could not provide the room. No advance warning was given, and we were allowed to arrive late at night before being turned away. The property did not secure alternative accommodations or provide meaningful assistance. We spent hours contacting more than 30 hotels, searching from Champaign to locations about 40 minutes outside Chicago, and found no availability. The most concerning part was being charged for accommodations the property could not provide. Overbooking can happen, but guests should be contacted promptly, the charge should not be processed, and relocation assistance should be provided. This experience left our family stranded and caused significant stress and additional expense.

The entire staff was very nice and helpful. I will stay there whatever I come in town.

One of the ladies at the front desk was quite unhelpful. During the check-in process, she simply handed me the keys without uttering a single word. I was unaware that there was no room cleaning if you didn’t stay for 7 days.
