DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte Airport

For one night stay here was very pleasant and the staff and facility were top-notch. It was a great place to park our car and ride the shuttle for our fourth July trip to DC.

We are finally given another room number and key and she slams the key folio on the counter and doesn’t speak to us- not to apologize, say our room number aloud, or anything. The lobby and first floor also smelled strongly of marijuana. Our new room had beds that seem smaller than queen size, was missing pillows and quite stuffy and stale smelling. Inexcusable.

Location. Everything was fine until we discovered a big size roach (not a water bug). The next morning, I found a tiny roach. I informed the personal. We only stayed for one night so it was okay for us, but just the fact that we know have to check our bags when we get home to make sure we don’t bring the infestation with us, is a concern. Under normal circumstances, I would recommend to stay here. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, I can’t. I recommend a deep cleaning for the hotel for future guests. Room 311.

Room was clean and well air-conditioned on arrival. Staff was friendly on checking in and airport shuttle ran timely.

Room had a bad odor when we walked in, had to turn the air on, seemed to help some. Telephone in our room was broke, refrigerator didn’t work. No information in the room or from the front desk about places to eat in the area. Person at the check-in desk wasn’t very helpful. Entrance was unkept, mat at door was dirty. Won’t stay there again.

The Double Tree staff was excellent n were right there to pick us up at airport after our flight! Will definitely use again

I thought the breakfast was to expensive for what was offered.

The breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the bar provided a nice atmosphere to relax. The only issue I experienced was regarding a $25 cash deposit. At check-in, I was informed that it would be refunded in cash. However, at check-out, I was told the refund would be processed back through a credit or debit card instead. I have not received the refund yet, but I understand it may take a few business days to be processed. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again.

The hotel was outdated and not well kept. No signage out front and the flags were ripped. And finally the front had damage from a truck that was prob too tall for the overhang. It was falling down. No one was working on it just a few cones around it. Expedia and/or the hotel should have communicated this because I would have definitely NOT chosen to stay there. Our room door was open when we got there and the hallways smell musty.

Booked this hotel at the last minute due to a flight cancellation and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were super friendly and the room was sparkling clean with a comfortable bed. There were also some nice extra touches such as free bottled water and quality Arabica coffee pods. And the free shuttle to the airport left right on time. Exceeded my expectations!
