Hyatt Place Charlotte/Arrowood

The staff at this hotel are unkind and they're liars. I stayed there for five days and paid $250 for deposit, but they promised me a refund if I left. It's been a month now and I haven't received anything. When I call them to get my money back, they give me apologies about having already sent the money, but I still haven't received anything.

The room was clean and very spacious for 5. The elevator was down but they did notify and we had the opportunity to cancel. The breakfast was good. The bathroom was a bit small but I enjoyed our stay.

I already knew the elevators were down since the hotel notified me before arrival, but of course our two-bed room was on the 4th floor… so we definitely got our workout in! 😂 The room itself was clean and spacious, but unfortunately, the safe and refrigerator were not working, and it seemed like that entire section had no power. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. It was just a no for me. Also, what kind of hotel that offers complimentary breakfast doesn’t have a microwave available to heat up food? That was definitely disappointing. Overall, the room was clean and spacious, but there were quite a few inconveniences during our stay

The only elevator the hotel had was not working, Had to take all of our luggage up 6 floors of stairs. Pool was closed. Was told I would receive points for the inconvenience and still haven't received them. Was told everything should be in working order after a week when we were to stay again however both were still out of order and closed.

Room was very clean and confortable, but the only elevator they they have was broken and we could not get a room lower than 5th floor.

Besides the elevator not working & hearing doors slam all morning…. It was an okay stay. The staff is really nice!

when we arrived, we were told that the elevator is broke. They only had one. We were placed on the 6th floor and carry all our luggage and playpen up 6 flights of stairs. Then we found out that the pool was also closed, not sure why. They were in the middle of a renovation but, it just made it a rough time. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because it had a pool for the kids to swim in. The staff was very sympathetic and nice however, they said we would receive points for the inconvenience but, still haven't received anything a week later.

Disappointed to hear from the hotel the day of that renovations were happening. I had to carry luggage up to the third floor.

After we arrived and checked in we were told that the pool was under renovation and that it could not be used which led to 2 very disappointed teenagers. We were never advised of this when booking the reservation despite calling to confirm our reservations the day before. Had we known this we would have booked a different hotel with amenities that the kids could enjoy. And to add insult to injury we were charged full price without even being offered a discount for unusable amenities.

The room was dirty upon arrival. Dust in the floor with trash in the corner. The window sill had dirt and dust caked in it. There were used tissues stuffed into the tissue box. The sheets had fresh red blood and mold spots on it and lipstick kiss marks. Went to the desk to notify and acted as if we were making it up. Never offered a new room or even evaluated the room. Just offered us a new set of sheets that we had to meet them at the bottom of the stairs because the elevator was out of service. Very unlike Hyatt I have stayed at in the past.

Elevators didn’t work and the place smelled like mold

The bathroom was not properly cleaned. There were false eyelashes in the tub.

Everything was great, except for the fact that when we arrive, the front desk was under construction there was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. I would definitely return once the front desk area and the elevator is functioning.

The staff was friendly BUT even though they stated they are doing renovations A LOT of stuff was unavailable. Snack area had food and drink but was taped off. Elevators were off. Debris from them hammering and sawing was EVERYWHERE I had to cover my nose to not inhale it. Base boards were missing. The beds were sinking near the head boards. They offered a refund but only told they day 10 minutes before it was time to check in which we ended up having to keep the reservation because it was a busy weekend and didn’t have anyplace else to go.

The hotel is undergoing updates. So many things where a bit of a mess in the halls and lobby. The elevator was not working due to this , we were not madw aware of it ahead of time. This proved challenging having to walk 4 flights of stairs with my husband who recently had knee surgery. The room was clean otherwise. All the staff we encountered where very nice.
