Loved the English style and look

clean (with the exception of the shower) and location was good front desk staff was rude and did not answer phone. Also the tv did not work in our room and the solution given was to switch rooms (it was 10 Pm). Also the shower floor was really dirty.

Bed was comfortable, room was very clean, shower pressure was excellent, staff is very friendly, breakfast was great with good selection.

Breakfast always excellent, especially grits and casserole. Afternoon tea a welcome offering Fruit available at desk is nice. Staff always friendly and helpful. Centrally located to UVA and shopping centers We'll be returning again. Oh yes, beautiful and clean pool. B. .

This was our third multi-day stay at the English Inn and their staff maintained the same high standards each time. We look forward to booking rooms with the English Inn on future visits to Charlottesville, VA.

Easy to get to and from train station, clean, breakfast was wonderful, tea and cookies and coffee offerings were great. The person at the desk on check-in looked and acted unhappy. The same for the gentleman working in the dining room during breakfast. Attitudes and not friendly.

No waffles for breakfast but rest was good. Enjoyed the afternoon tea and cookies. Room door a bit difficult to open.

Parking Staff weren’t friendly everything was too much for them, breakfast wasn’t worthy, room service was non existent , no hairdryer no black tea bags in the room and none at the reception my husband bought some and left some for other guests, water pressure so strong and you couldn’t adjust it.
