Little Mod Hotel at the University

My wife and I had a great stay. Clean and spacious rooms, fun vibe and great location! We’ll book again for sure.

The staff is literally the nicest and most helpful. We love the coffee, food truck (the breakfast tacos are the best I have ever tasted), and parking is easy in the garage located right across the street. The rooms are very spacious with a small kitchenette, fun record player and nice sized bathroom. The rooms are very clean, modern and have a cool vibe.

Traveling in time while traveling is always a great feeling in a well maintained property. Conveniently located close to the university but not the best location if you want to spend time walking to be mall.

Place has such a fun vibe! I loved the turntable in the room and the bathroom was fun and bright!!

The staff is exceptional and ensures your stay is comfortable and you feel welcome. I enjoy the thoughtful amenities and luxurious beds and linens. Hot water! It's a great location near downtown shops and restaurants. Absolutely, darling decor.

Such a cute place! So convenient to walk to grounds. Staff was super nice! Would stay again.

1. There is no designated on-site parking. However, the hotel provides a pass for a nearby garage—about a block away—at a reasonable flat daily rate. Several spaces are available in front of the hotel for loading and unloading. 2. There are no elevators. The staff is happy to assist with luggage, and they are receptive to requests for a first-floor room when one is available. 3. Evenings can be somewhat noisy. The hotel is located just off The Corner on a street with several student-occupied sorority, fraternity, and club houses. A train also runs behind the property. The hotel thoughtfully provides a white-noise machine and earplugs, and overall, the noise was not too disruptive. The occasional passing train was the loudest part. The excellent location, exceptional staff, and charm of the property far outweighed these minor drawbacks. The hotel is a short walk from grounds, The Corner, and several restaurants; the Downtown Mall is an easy drive away. The staff could not have been nicer, one of the best hotel staff experiences I have had, from housekeeping to the front desk. The hotel’s aesthetic is also adorable. They fully embraced the mod theme, with turntables, vinyl records, and even an on-theme mini fridge. It is charming, cohesive, and very well done. The hotel’s sister property is the Oakhurst Inn, and guests can use some amenities.

Little Mod is an adorable little motel right near UVA. It's well appointed in bright retro chic style, including a record player and a few albums. The staff is kind and helpful and it's a great location. The great location comes w college partying noise, but they provide a white noise machine and ear plugs which made sleeping easy. My only wish is that they provided water b/c it was 100 degrees outside while I was there.

Charming! Great location! Friendly staff! Loud at night. Freight trains running nearby. Student bars nearby. Quite a lot of noise until 2am. Then quiet.

Room noise next door was a problem late at night . Front desk did assist with addressing. You can hear through the walls quite easily! Also the train is so close-it’s super loud !! Coffee was promised at 6 am, I went to lobby at 8 am and no one was at the desk and no coffee had been brewed.

The location is fantastic, and the decor and amenities were top-notch. Upstairs unit had a slight amount of noise, but the location is absolutely fantastic and I would stay here again no problem

It is a charming, quirky, 1960s-themed place. Super clean and very well-maintained. The only shortcoming is that the hotel does not have parking available for guests. You must park on the street or use nearby municipal parking spaces. The good news is the municipal parking building is just a block from the hotel.

The staff members were very helpful with suggestions/recommendations where to buy flowers, fruits, where to find coffee and breakfast. The only thing missing from the room was a closet and hangers. There was brewed coffee in the office for free in the morning. Great time to chat with staff.
