Sleep Inn & Suites Monticello

Kind, friendly, attentive associate at check in. Check in was quick; given all essential information about stay including breakfast info. Room and areas used were clean. First floor room was convenient & quiet. Room was supplied with all basic amenities needed. Basic appliances & bedding but comfortable.

The location and the staff The rooms definitely need updating, such as with the carpet and the mattress. Both had stains and it had an odd odor in the room. There also wasn’t any bedding for the sofa bed and the front desk did not answer the phone when called.

Helpful staff, towels changed daily Poor WiFi, safe not working, door hook fell off, generally drab and in need of refurbishment, staff seemed embarrassed. 0

No light anywhere outside. 2 police visits I saw in 3 hours. Hallways and rooms dirty and stinky. Room was no better. Cig burns, ripped carpet ripped curtains and tub had soft spots.

We stay here with the kids all the time. Everyone is friendly, breakfast is stocked and rooms are clean

The room and breakfast were both good! On a hot day, I really appreciated that the hotel had cut on my air conditioning - it was great to walk into a cool room! Management is clearly doing the best they can with the property and it definitely works for a night or two. Comfortable bed and pillows, good shower. The parking spaces are simply too small, it was very hard to find a spot I felt safe from getting dinged. The location is OK, but once inside, the room is fine. Unfortunately, I could hear my neighbor loud and clear, but that’s not managements fault. It was just built cheaply.

Location is good to visit Monticello. That's about it. Oh boy, I knew not to expect luxury, this is a budget hotel after all. But as soon as I jumped into my room I realized: this is a bad budget hotel. Rooms are in dire need of major maintenance: mysterious stains on walls, one of our bed sheets had blood stains and there's a lingering musty smell in the rooms. Trust me, the savings are NOT worth it.

The staff was courteous, the breakfast was good. The carpet was worn out. Water stations had no water after repeated informing them.

They gave me a dirty room initially, but got upgraded to a bigger clean room. Great staff, just outdated inside.
