Super 8 by Wyndham Chicago IL

Very run down property. Room was decent though. Close to beach

The TV remote control device only worked occasionally. Often we could not turn it on or change channels.

At first glance we were concerned but our room was clean and a great size. Staff were nice. Bus station was very close. Covered parking was comforting. Meh breakfast. One challenge was slow check in via computer and with bad subtitles and no bathroom in lobby and after a long drive I really needed bathroom

Check in was easy, parking was convenient and safe, staff was helpful, rooms appear to be recently remodeled and were very clean. Standard, quick breakfast in the morning. Maybe if you’re arriving late at night things can be tricky, but our experience was quite different than some other reviews so just wanted to balance the scales! Also super easy access to the red line (we stayed here to attend a concert at the Aragon ballroom and it worked out perfectly.)

Staff are very accommodating and friendly.

Very clean. Comfortable beds. Upgraded to a 2 King room. They didn;t give me that room and had to go down to the front desk to have that corrected. Would have been nice to have a few hangers in the room. Woul dhave like to see orange juice in the breakfast kitchen

i loved everything about the property and the staff was very nice and helpful. the virtual check-in was different but still easy. very walkable, about 5 min to jarvis station to get downtown or to other areas! the hotel room and common areas were very clean as well. free parking was the cherry on top!

The front desk managers Harry and another person ( I’m forgetting his name now) and Tisha were excellent. They were so helpful and also I felt safe because of them. The rooms were sometimes noisy and I think rooms need a proper decor. No cupboards and no carpets makes it look old and drab. All was good except the room decor.

The owner saw that we were in distress due to some canceled flights and a very stressful situation at the airport so we were very worn out. While we were waiting for our Uber back to the airport at 4:30 AM, he offered us each a bottle of juice to help. He was kind to us.

Booked last minute when lodging fell through elsewhere, was pleasantly surprised at how clean, quiet and well maintained the hotel was.

Friendly staff very helpful It was far away from my destination. ( my own fault!)

The staff at this Super 8 over the past week were very helpful and Harry at the front desk was great and helped us with our parking needs. This was greatly appreciated! Great place to stay! Highly recommend! Harry is the best too and was understanding of our larger utility vehicle parking needs. Thx!!

Great location Better breakfast needed

This spot is a GEM. It is along the path of Lake Michigan. The neighborhood is superb and parking was private. There was $100 incidental charge. No pets BUT my family and I loved the area. It is clean and quiet. The elevator is super small. There was a decent breakfast with juices, coffee, yogurts, honeybuns, muffins, pancakes, oatmeal etc. It was very decent. We passed on an AirBnB and chose this stay after 8PM to have a place to lay our head. It was the BEST switch up we didn't ask for. I felt as if God intervened on our behalf. The AirBnB was VERY questionable and we decided against staying in the area after checking it out. THIS motel will be my family's go to spot when visiting Chicago. I loved the stay. The elevator was one of the smallest I've ever seen.

The kiosk check in is beyond stupid. It took FOREVER. Almost a half hour just to check in. I’ve never stayed anywhere where this is the standard. There was somebody at the front desk the entire time. Why can’t a real person just check me it?

Close to public transportation

Located where we needed to be. Clean room. Parking is ok, at least it’s included! Checkin via a video call station was a bit frustrating due to tech issues and language barrier.

Rooms very dirty… has ants in them. The staff was rude! This is why it’s alway empty
