Comfortable, clean room and very pleasant staff! There was a very powerful perfume-y smell in the hallways? If you have issues with strong smells, it might be a bit much

I reserved a room and when we showed up the guy at the desk was not friendly, wanted us to make a $100 deposit after already paying and it was sketchy and dirty. It looked like a pay by the hour. On the website it had an option for insurance in case I needed to cancel. Expedia called the company when we decided not to stay and they denied it. Said it was not extenuating circumstances. I would love to be refunded.

Rooms and overall property were very clean. Someone was at front desk at all times watching our cars and who was coming & going which made me feel safe. All staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive. Rooms could use some space to hang clothes and maybe an extra chair to sit in, but otherwise comfortable & spacious. Showers need to be upgraded.

Very nice staff and decent breakfast. Clean. Good value for the $. There were holes in the bottom of the bathtub that had been patched but the floor was like missing from those areas? And all of the lights are brighter than the sun in the room. Very close to the lake.

Parking was a little tricky for a large vehicle but it was so great to have onsite parking availablle and not deal with the cost and delay of valet at other hotels. The staff was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a little dated but I wasn’t expecting or needing anything fancy. Several restaurants were walking distance and close to Loyola to visit my son. I wish there had been a coffee maker in the room but it was easy enough to walk down and get it in the lobby. All in all it was a decent hotel at a good price and fit the bill for what we needed and expected for a quick weekend visit.

Rooms seemed recently remodeled You can't have any visitors. Nothing in my booking process informed me of this. How can you not have visitors!? The front desk clerk let one visitor up to my room without issue. When a 2nd visitor later came to the hotel the clerk immediately stopped him, made me come down to the lobby as if I had to bring my visitor up to the room but when I got down to the front desk I was scolded at about their no visitor policy and my visitor had to leave. What was different about my 2nd visitor??? He was black.

Do yourself a favor spend the extra money. This place is not a normal hotel the lobby elevator and dining area is so small. Elevator barely will fit 2 people. Area to far from public transportation. Don't do it.

Clean and better than it looks from the outside. Very helpful staff. Breakfast is ok - I wish they had better coffee :)

OK in general for the level

Okay: continental breakfast is standard ho-hum hotel food. Things to think about: it's a dated building, plumbing etc. is a old (but fine and functioning), our room could have used a second chair. If you want to be in that area, like the price point, and don't mind spartan digs, this place is for you.

Older hotel but updated for wifi, and charging devices. Friendly staff, great location, everything worked. Convenient parking, clean hotel.
