Super 8 by Wyndham Chicago Northlake O'Hare South

The good: along a main bus route to the airport. Also there was a room fridge and microwave, a desk, hair dryer, the right amount of blankets for the season, and a large smart TV. Also, free on-site parking. As many other guests pointed out, the TV remote is not compatible with the smart TV, so said TV is useless. Upon checkout, besides the remote issue, I also pointed out to the desk clerk that the toilet paper holder was broken and the bathroom door was so thick with paint that it couldn’t be closed. The continental breakfast was very limited, with no fresh food offered. (Luckily, a large supermarket, Tony’s, was right across the street.) In general, the property itself is in need of updating and renovation; it was pretty tired.

The walls are paper thin. There's no shuttle. And not clear enough which Wyndham by Super by Chicago O'hare you're going to. I went to the wrong one. They say this happens all the time. But no one addresses it and there's no coordination between the 2.

Absolutely nothing! I was extremely tired and was so disappointed upon arrival to see what this place ACTUALLY looked like. This place was HORRIBLE! It's more like a transient motel with tons of people, pets, noise, construction, people hanging out in the hallways, and it was FILTHY!!!

In Chicago. If you are looking for a step above sleeping in the car this is the place for you. Beds are uncomfortable. Odd smell throughout hotel. Pay by the week options

Definitely an aged property. It had a very strong smell throughout. My room was not ideal. The bathroom could Definitely use more cleaning and the shower had no water pressure. The bed was ok. The pillows were good. The breakfast was basically sugar options only. Nothing I would consider real food. The staff was very nice to deal with.

I pulled the covers back on the bed and there was black hair on the sheets. Easy to see against white sheets and I am a blonde so not mine. The lady working was very helpful and came in and changed my sheets. The next morning i pulled the curtains back on the shower and again black hair in the shower. When I closed the bathroom door also found a used towel on the back of the door. Horrible experience. Only good thing about the stay is the women at the front desk.

Great room at a great price. Attached restaurant was amazing.

- upon entering the facility, the smell is the first thing that hits you. It is a combination of cigarette smoke, vape smoke and just plan staleness. - the smell was really not much of a concern b/c there were literally no amenities in the lobby anyway. A snack shop or even a vending machine would have been better than nothing. - Once in the room and in bed, sound was the major issue. I could hear the guy in the room next door snoring and constant thumping up until like midnight. - appearance-wise the room was nothing special by any means - didn't need to leave a light on to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night, because the light from the hallway shining through the joints around the door were basically a night light. - the clock on the microwave was wrong. This threw me off when the pounding in the halls woke me up at midnight and I thought it was 2:33 am. - when I opened the drapes, a large mechanical unit was all I saw. So much for some natural daylight. -

I will never ever recommend this property.

Exceptional

Well, I don't smoke. But somebody around me does. Not just tobacco. Looks like the lock on my door was kicked in at some point. Fixed now - but - door sticks. The hall floors could have been cleaned - sometime. On the other hand - the room was serviceable, the bathroom clean - and - the area was surprisingly quiet - except for 1 10 minute stretch where someone was barking their dog. For the price - I am NOT satisfied. But - the other hotels were SOLD OUT.

Room was just ok. Non polite staff at reception. Pathetic breakfast options. ( they could have charged more from us to get something nice eaten in the morning)

The shower drained slowly when in use and the bed felt like it was broken or needed to be replaced.

Nothing It was not clean. It’s stunk people are fighting people threatening to kill their selves in the hallways sound like a herd of children next-door to me my bathroom wall had blood splatter on it. The toilet paper holder was not on the wall. There was a hole in the wall when you come in the door and behind the door, there was a pair of socks on top of the lamp. There is dirt on the floor in the corners, the water was backing up in the shower and I have pictures and video of all of this. The state wasn’t even worth my money that I spent. I left a day early because of how nasty it was there the staff made me feel very uncomfortable. They kept wanting to come into my room. I’m a very private person don’t like that they didn’t have any tags to put on your door do not disturb staff would just go into your room unannounced.

Staff was kind and room was clean and you can control ac/heat
