The bad: 1) overpriced compared to the competition who have newer more modern amenities 2) very dated rooms, grounds, etc . Built in the 80s, stuck in the 80s. 3) got to resort only for them not to have our mtn view rm available, moved us to one the next day and comped breakfast 4) the new mtn view rm, had a door that drug and would hardly open, the screen door on the patio would barely open and close, the cabinet under the TV had doors that wouldn't stay closed 5) overall condition of the property was a 5 out of 10, its not being kept up properly 6) the bathrooms are tiny and have sinks with no counter space to put anything, so it made it very difficult to get ready in the morning, brush your teeth etc. 7) food was subpar at best and the breakfast buffet was nearly $30/person despite being very substandard quality. Thats before drinks or tip too. You can see where this property would've been grand 30 to 40 yrs ago, but it has not kept up with the times. They are banking on the great location on cheyenne mtn and near the broadmoor, but it is overpriced for its current condition. The staff did try to make up for our rm issue the first night by comping two breakfasts, and let us out of our 4 night stay a night early, as we requested. Kylie, the supervisor was understanding and great to work with and did everything she probably could to address our concerns. It's just too dated vs other resorts in the area!!

It was an awesome trip for me!! Highly recommended…

We had the best time. The room was clean, but I would say our particular lodge probably hadn't been updated in a while. The carpet was old and the walls could've used a good paint job. The room itself was nice and clean, though, and we loved having a balcony overlooking the mountain (an upgrade that was offered to us upon check in). We only used room service once, but it was a useful amenity later in our trip when we were tired and not wanting to get out. Love the pools, all of the lake activities, and there are so many things to do in Colorado Springs that are close to the resort. I would 100% stay here again!

I loved the Mountain View’s, how close it was to many of the local attractions such as Pikes Peak Cheyanne Zoo and Garden of the Gods. I would most definitely recommend staying here and include the breakfast buffet with your stay!

Amazing view, specially all staff members work from their heart ❤️

Very nice, great amenities, wish we stayed a little longer. The rooms could be more aesthetically pleasing, it was fine not great. Everything else makes up for it.

From the moment you walk into the lobby, the resort has a warm mountain-lodge feel. While you can tell the property has been around for a while, it has been well maintained and has a lot of charm. The staff throughout the resort were wonderful friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The only exception was breakfast on our last morning. We arrived when the restaurant opened, and the service wasn't as attentive as what we had experienced everywhere else during our stay. Our resort-view room was definitely worth it. Sitting on the balcony and looking out at Cheyenne Mountain was peaceful and relaxing. The bed was also very comfortable, which made for a great night's sleep. The room did have a very faint cigarette smoke smell. I'm extremely sensitive to smoke, so it's possible most guests wouldn't even notice it. It seemed more like an old, lingering odor than anything recent. Overall, we had a wonderful anniversary getaway and would absolutely stay here again. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Colorado escape.

Outdoor pools were great but the indoor pool was our favorite especially since when little storms came through we could still continue the fun! The lake and paddle boarding and kayaking was amazing! Staff were the most friendly ever and everything was clean and beautiful! 10/10!!!

Everyone was extremely nice. Housekeeping did an excellent job.

The grounds and amenities at this property are just fantastic! There is so much to choose from and something for everyone. This was a girls' trip, but I would love to go back with my husband and two boys. We really enjoyed the Mountain View Restaurant for breakfast - the buffet was a great spread, and everything was fresh. We also really enjoyed Alluvia Spa - our massage was great and so was the spa itself. I will definitely be back! Our room was spacious and we loved having a balcony to enjoy the beautiful views.

Our stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort was fabulous. Rarely is there zero hiccups of some sort, but everything was perfect. We had eaten there a few times but this was our first stay. My wife commented, "I enjoyed this more than the Broadmoor!"
-
Poor customer service, rooms are old and not overly clean. The price is purely paying for the view not level of luxury at the resort

Views Bait and switch at check in with pricing

There were bedbugs so we couldn’t sleep at first night and checked out the room next day. The bathroom door was broken and fell down, very poorly maintained property.
-
I love this place! Great staff! You can tell it is a property with ownership which aims to please its visitors with great activities, over the top service. To be this good you need to spend more money and provide coaching to staff to be over the top good. That is what this property is. We have stayed here twice with our family and have loved it both times. We have made lasting memories here and will be back for sure!

Staff was friendly, check-in was easy. Location felt safe. Room was clean. Daily resort fees and additional fee to park your own vehicle in front of your room was ridiculous. The place is spread out and long walk to pool and other facilities. The pools and beach were very crowded. The "view" is nothing special, just a large hill with houses all over it. The breakfast was very expensive and the food was underwhelming. Tasted like every other hotel breakfast.

It was absolutely wonderful! Will be back!
-
Weren’t able to check in until 7pm due to rooms not being cleaned and inspected. Definitely put a damper on the night especially when you factor in how much it cost to stay.

The elevator was broker which made the stay more difficult
