La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods

The wind was disgusting. The flood on the screen. The bathroom was leaking from the floor half the light didn’t work. My door was broken. The AC didn’t work and I found that all out in five minutes.

It’s just ok for one night

Terrible management and terrible cleanliness.

We stayed for two nights at La Quinta near Garden of the Gods, and it was a very disappointing experience. Based on our stay, I would strongly advise against booking this hotel, especially if you are traveling with children. Our room did not appear properly cleaned. The bathroom floor and ceiling were filthy, the walls looked deteriorated, and the hallway carpets were dirty. The corridors and stairs also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The staff’s attitude made everything worse. When we requested a blanket, I was told to come downstairs and accompany a staff member to the laundry room to collect it. I understand that hotels may have limited room service, but there is no excuse for communicating policies in a rude, arrogant way. After the first day, our toilet clogged. The front desk said someone would come, but refused our request to use a bathroom in another room while we waited with the unpleasant smell. They also suggested that we come downstairs, collect a plunger, and unclog it ourselves. When maintenance finally arrived, the first question was, “You want to do it yourself or what?” That is an unacceptable response to a guest reporting a maintenance problem. At the complimentary breakfast, the counters were not clean, and no drinking water was provided. When we asked for water, we were told they did not provide it because it was not their policy.

More than anything-it was a disappointing stay. The lack of transparency and honesty given the facilities and what this hotel was offering is upsetting. Does not represent well on site pictures

It was great.

We were there for less than 12 hours, but unfortunately experienced multiple issues during our stay. The room had flies, an unpleasant odor, sticky floors, and stains. There was also a toilet leak, concerns with the shower, and a sink that was not draining properly. Several outlets were not working, and there was no hair dryer or ironing board cover available. The customer service was just as disappointing. When we tried to address some of these issues, communication with the front desk was difficult, and we did not feel like our concerns were handled with much urgency or helpfulness. It was especially frustrating to experience this many issues during such a short stay. Based on the condition of the room and the lack of customer service, I would not stay here again and would recommend travelers choose another property.

My room never got attended for like fresh towels sheets or anything else while we stayed for 5 days

The toilet would frequently stall, the floor was filthy, there was garbage everywhere, the mattress was stained.

the room smelled like smoke and cigarettes. I felt bad for my kids. There were people coming in and out of the property like they live there, not secured. I felt unsafe for my family, so we left after the first night.

We got there and our room wasn’t ready. We had to get ready for an event and was given a dirty room so we can get ready. One of the rooms we booked there was water in carpet in bathroom. We notified front desk but nothing was done. Won’t be going back to this location it’s run down and unkempt.

Unfortunately I was taken aback at the state of the property, the room, and the amenities. Upon my arrival the property was dealing with an abandoned dog in a room and animal control was on site. The property was strewn with animal waste, bags of trash in the stairwells and once in my room it was in absolute ill repair with door handles falling off and a wet bathroom floor from a leaking toilet. Very disappointed that this is part of a regularly reputable chain. The unsafe feeling from homeless people and drug addicts in the parking lot where the last straw. I ended up leaving the property and now staying my second night of the booking. I would absolutely skip this location, the staff seemed absolutely complacent about what was going on.

Absolutely nothing EVERYTHING!!! Worst experience ever!!!!

We got to the hotel and they said it wouldn’t be ready till after 6 maybe 6:30. Check in is supposed to be at 3. We had to be at a concert at 7. There wasn’t anything they could do for us. They cancelled our stay and we had to get a new place. The area we did see was dirty and not kept up

Room was not ready until 6 pm and that was a maybe. We had to cancel due to room not ready and not clean. I would not recommend this hotel

Most of the things in the room didn’t work and there were stains on the bedding. Staff was rude at checkout

Need serious remodeling and I caught them doing fraudulent charges on my card by night staff. Do not stay there and there is no juice or milk for breakfast they tell you to go to circle k gas station and staff not helpful

Didn't refresh towels, let us know the pool was closed for winter. The breakfast had no proteins or lids for the coffee cups. The oat meal packs were all sticky. We had to go to a laundry mat to wash the hotel towels just so we had a clean towel. We also had to take our own trash to the dumpster. Toilet leaked under the boards so the bathroom floor was always wet.

This place was an absolute dump! They didn’t check my ID, the lady checking me in used some old key coder that looked sketchy as heck. The security lock on the inside of the room was ripped off the door and door jam. The bathroom smelled like urine and the fake wood was all messed up and had huge gaps in the flooring. The whole room reeked of cigarette smoke. I didn’t feel safe so I turned right around and left!
