Motel 6 – Colorado Springs, CO – South/Metro Area

Check in had doors and what seems like bullet proof glass counter - really giving you a sense of confidence your neighbors here. I was borderline taking luggage with me during the day for fear it will get broken into. Room is bare bones. No fridge. Soap only no shampoo. Dirty shower floor. No hair dryer. Forced to be here because I booked last minute and Bruno Mars fan flooded the area. I've learned to plan early next time to avoid places like this.

This place is as bad as it gets, even for a budget hotel. Outside was dirty with garbage, siding falling off, boarded up windows and rooms, couldn’t find the office and was scared to get out of my car—not exaggerating, see pictures! Once I got my first room, no functioning lock, so got a new room. Smelled like a dirty old bar, dirty walls in all the rooms, dirty all over the door, gross shower, dried soap on ledge in shower, no fluorescent bulb or light fixture in bathroom, flies buzzing around the room, no signal on the TV, NO amenities like shampoo, lotion or hair dryer, towel rack and toilet paper holder missing, no mattress covers, just a fitted sheet over a black mattress that had little bits of debris about it so I couldn’t even effectively check for bed bugs. This was horrible, do not do it!

request refrigerator, staff said will install in the next morning, but has never been installed for the whole stay.

Well located and pet friendly with no additional charge. The rooms sometimes don’t smell good.

- 1) There was no trash can. - 2) One of the lights by the beds was not working. - 3) The globe for the light on the desk was missing. - 4) The smoke/fire detector was disconnected and sitting well down from the ceiling, not in the prescribed place for safe and reliable detection. I didn't check it, but it may have been non-functional. - 5) The door deadbolt would not lock. - 6) The bed was made up in a weird way - that I had to re-make - such that the blanket was on the inside and the sheet was on the outside. - 7) There were no pillow cases on the pillows. - 8) The walkways and stairs were filthy. - 9) The floor in the room was somewhat clean, but I did not like walking around on it because if felt somewhat unclean.

Worst of the worst

I have no problem with the motel room itself, aside from the fact that the room did not include a functioning refrigerator. But that wasn’t going to be a problem as long as there was an ice machine that could keep my food cold. The ice machine in the lobby was also broken. So, every day for five days I had to drive to the local gas station and purchase ice. The staff at the front desk were kind and accommodating. Considering the price of the room, it’s a reasonable value… But you could do better.

Really, quite a pleasant stay. AC worked well. Got good sleep

No shower curtain. No fridge or microwave that were both advertised.

Well the ice machine is down and wasn’t working. For customers that are staying they should be having the ice machine fixed and going at all times. The door lock was broken. The toilet didn’t flush without flushing two or three times. The bed night stand fell off the wall in the middle of the night scared me and my mom. Went and reported it right away. I took pictures of the night stand and the door lock cause I was not gonna be accused of anything. It is horrible that the guests are never told that they have to rent out the refrigerator and microwave. That should always be included in the rooms. No towel racks at all. Dog area was disgusting, trash and poop not picked at all. The whole property had trash everywhere and looked like you were in the getto was just a horrible experience.

I drove 2000 miles from Vermont to Colorado Springs and had reservations for 3 nights booked weeks in advance. I had the cconfirmation # printed. Said Sorry can't find it. Nothing more. I had to spend 1.5 hours in my car finding somewhere to stay. No help, no suggestions, just Sorry. Once i get home I better not find i was charged for the 3 nights.
