Homewood Suites by Hilton Coralville - Iowa River Landing

The hot tub was not working. Extremely disappointing. The hotel itself was great, but I also specifically selected this hotel for its hot tub only to find it it was broken.

Very clean property.

Our suite itself was nice and big and in appropriate repair. However, on Friday the 3rd the elevators quit working. I have a bad knee and hip which made using the stairs painful and very inconvenient. There was no clean laundry available on Saturday the 4th because they had no laundry staff. The pool area was so strong with chlorine fumes you could hardly stand to be in there. Sunday morning one of the 2 elevators was not working again, and the pool area is was shut down/out of order. Sunday morning I called guest services for clean towels and it took over 45 minutes for them to bring the towels. For a $300 a night hotel room, I was not impressed and will not stay there again.

Place was very nice and and very clean. Room was bigger and nicer than expected. Our only complaint was the hot tub... Pool and area was clean, but hot tube was cold!! We didn't bother nobody about it though as we arrived late and were just staying the night. But otherwise we stay again!

Location The check in staff communicated nothing, I had to ask where to park, she didn’t say when breakfast was or inform us that the hot tub was down. Would have been nice to have hard boiled eggs on the breakfast buffet

Officially not a fan. If something can go wrong, it went wrong. From the AC unit not working, the thermostat hanging off the wall with a hole into the next room, the broken shower head, and the room was less than clean for the price. We specifically asked for a room AWAY from the elevators and our room was directly across from them. We asked for another room but they couldn't find us one, they were “sold out” but our maintenance man some how took a shower head from a “vacant room”…. On a Wednesday. With 6 floors. And the hot tub was broken. Sadly. The maintenance man was great. The AC unit needed fixed but parts needed to be ordered. The new showerhead was just as bad as the first, low water pressure too so I’m not sure even the greatest shower head would halo that. And yes- the site we used to book did reimburse us for some of the trouble, but that does NOT make up for the hateful front staff, especially after my wife having surgery and them wanting to move us down 3 floors. We never complain about much of anything. I'm just disappointed in our whole stay, on the FIRST night, I get it, “booked to capacity.” We dealt with all the issues with as much patience as we could. Day two? Surgery day? I told the staff that once we got back my wife would need to rest. I'm sorry you called well after we arrived back from the hospital and wanted us to move in 30 minutes so you could flip the room to a few more suckers, but the rudeness was not warranted. Period.

Breakfast was perfect as per usual. The staff and location is what makes this hotel THE place to stay in Coralville especially if you are attending events at the Mediacom Xtreme Center. Our check in was SUPERB! They allowed us early check in and which was much appreciated after spending the day at an event. We will continue to return!

It is in a great location. It has everything we needed: roomie, spacious, and it had a kitchenette. Amazing breakfast!

The swimming pool and hot tub are perfect! Breakfast excellent. Love the rooms, everything was great.

We left our diaper bag in front of the hotel, and the staff had called and let us know. Prior to that, during breakfast (which was great for a hotel) we offered to clean up after our five kids (6 and under) and the staff refused our offer. Everyone was amazing and the hotel was great. The parking was a bit off property and it was like $5/night.
