Comfort Inn & Suites Coralville - Iowa City near Iowa River Landing

Staff at the front desk was extremely rude, tried to double charge me after paying through booking and then yelled at me when she had to re-check us in. Overall the room was just not great, the shower seemed very dirty and I would not recommend.

Oler property needs some reoairs. Had to change rooms due to a smell in the room. The staff was great and moved us to different room, no questions asked. Breakfast was fine.

We waited for more than hour to be checked in, the staff didn't even acknowledged our presence, horrible customer service skills, racist, microwave not working. Was not a good experience The staff at the front desk was extremely rude, racist, zero customer service skills appliances not in good condition,, the housekeeping lady.also wasn't nit of help when we asked questions about the appliances

Great

Okay location from campus, but hotel is in need of some upgrades and overall maintenance. Still a good alternative place to lay your head without paying $$$ for downtown location during high traffic Iowa weekends.

Good

Last rooms left for family weekend. Rather drive to Cedar Rapids next time.

Door frame coming off in the bathroom. Darkening curtains had a 4inch hole in them. Spider web on ceiling. Sheer curtains not the same length. Door into room wouldn’t shut on its own-had to be pushed or pulled to make sure it was closed. Staff very willing to give additional towels because room was not made up during the time we were there. Room very damp-needed a dehumidifier. The price per night was very inflated-there was a home football game-almost 4 times as much as a non football weekend. Property was not worth that inflated price! We won’t stay there again unless that’s the only place available.

On the other hand, the staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean, and our bed was extremely comfortable. The swimming pool looked so inviting, but we had no time to use it. **sigh** Would we come back? Probably.

It was fine.

Did not. Breakfast was good Room had cobwebs. Smelt bad. Shower curtain a joke. Main door not sealed. Could see under door.

Hotel is in need of upkeep. Floors in room were not clean, stains on lamp shade, not all outlets worked in the room. Hotel staff was very friendly and attentive.

The property is so run down & dirty! It smells so bad of chlorine & mildew we didn’t stay the second night. It’s dirty & very little parking

Front desk attendant Dave was great. Rooms needed an update. Could have waited to book when we showed up and spent half the amount.

I rarely write reviews, but this place was the worst place we have ever stayed at. DO NOT STAY HERE! Black mold in the bathroom ceiling. So large of an amount of mold that it would be visible a mile away. You could see through the tub tile. To the drywall, because it was broken off. The tub fixture had a hole through it. The shower curtain was broken. Blood on the drapes and a horrible musty smell in the room. There was also so much humidity that you could ice skate across the tile. This was the second room given to us. The first room was just as bad. Do not stay here if you have other options.

Convenient location.

We were put into a room that should have never been issues to guests. Bed was on cinder blocks, curtains torn down, bathroom ceiling was leaking. Front desk was bot much help until we threatened going to social media with our pictures of the room.
