Fairfield Inn & Suites Cuero

The bed and pillows were TERRIBLE.

Breakfast was good. The bathroom in our room was dirty. We spoke to the clerk and she said she would have someone clean it but no one came. Overall everything was good.

It's really unfortunate and surprising that the ALL the usual big name hotel brands are so bad in Cuero. This particular hotel is VERY tired, VERY smelly and lacking the expected usual Marriott experience. From the moment you walk in, the mildew smell hits you hard. The first room I was assigned, 205 smelled horrible of mold/mildew. Was very damp and simply unacceptable. I had to make a trip to the from desk and request another room. The second room I was assigned didn't smell of mold or mildew but was still very damp. everything metal in the room was rusted. General disrepair tired fixtures, furniture drawers that wouldn't stay shut without wedges of cardboard. I woke up the next morning very congested with an unexplained stuffy up nose, which cured itself an hour or two after leaving the hotel. Significant levels of disrepair. Extremely slow front desk check-in process. Missing vinyl baseboard across the entire 3rd floor Signs mentioning upgrades were in process but zero evidence of any work actually being performed. My room door lock in the handle latch was not at all functional. The bar lock for the door was also not at all functional as it was simply attached the door casing, which was not attached to the wall. All linens were old and tired. I would definitely avoid staying in this or any other brand hotel in Cuero, and instead drive to other hotels in neighboring cities.

We didn't receive the accessible room we reserved. They gave away the room we reserved and only had 1 king accessible room left which didn't work for our family of 3, so we had to stay in a inaccessible room. The staff wasn't very concerned about it. This is the first year we've had trouble there of the the years we've stayed. Apparently they're under new management. We won't stay there next year.

My stay went well. Hilda at the front desk was most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a glitch with my reservation but she took care to solve the problem immediately.

Clean room friendly staff

The hotel was not as clean as I would like. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fine, the pool was not clean and the room smelled like mildew.

Stayed here recently and had a really great experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was super friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, and they made everything easy. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, felt safe, and the location was convenient for everything we needed. Definitely worth the stay and I’d gladly come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and stress-free place to stay.

Location and staff were great Cleanliness

The bed was hard as a rock, when we checked in we did not have any hot water in our room. There were no towels. When we received towels one of them was dirty with grease stains.

Reasonable price, clean room, comfortable bed, free breakfast was simple, but tasty CONS: No hot water in shower, breakfast drinks limited to coffee or tiny cartoons (4 oz) of Orange Juice (bigger drink selection would be appreciated)
