Hyatt House Davis

everything was 5 stars except for the night shift staff, they get 3 stars. One particular lady was rude and not very helpful. Asked for an extra blanket/bed sheet around 11pm and was giving attitude that we should have asked when housekeeping was available. Could have apologized for the inconvenience but was rude instead! otherwise the hotel was very clean, the rooms were very nice and the breakfast was amazing! would book again.

As soonnas you walked into the lobby it smelled good. The rooms were so clean. Front desk staff were very nice. You have to pay for parking per night, theres also street parking. One of the staff was super nice, one night we couldnt find a street parking, and she let us park in the parking for free. I really liked the service. If I ever come back to UC Davis, I will book this hotel.

walls were dirty. shower was broken, had to pay for parking and lot was full when I returned. stained carpets, weird smells, door to bathroom would open by its self and wouldn't lock. beds were mushy got a back ache. freeway construction was loud and traffic and you could hear it from room. blinds didn't work. outlets not working. couch was uncomfortable. dead flowers in lobby. towels hard. sheets scratchy. I could go on.

The breakfast wasn’t good and without variety.

Very clean room and nice breakfast and coffee in the lobby. You have to pay for the parking though.

The oven was broken our whole stay. The bar was open sporadically. Other than proximity and price, the reason I selected this place was so we could eat and enjoy cocktails. It was a disappointment.

Breakfast was great , the only thing I could complain about was the fact that there was extra fees for parking every night and the amenities of using the e-bikes were not available as they were constantly used.

Fantastic hotel. Clean. Quiet. Safe. Great customer service. Decent breakfast. Nice bar and bartender.

Unfortunately, our experience with customer service left much to be desired. We arrived at 3:40 p.m. and found no one at the front desk. After waiting about 10 minutes for someone to appear and check us in, the stay started off on the wrong foot. Another issue was housekeeping. At no point during check-in were we informed that daily housekeeping is only provided upon request. After our first night, we expected the room to be serviced, but no one came. When we called the front desk that evening, we were told that housekeeping must be specifically requested. We then requested service for the following day and were provided fresh towels. The next day, despite requesting housekeeping and asking that the room be cleaned around 3 p.m., no one showed up. We eventually asked staff to at least remove the dirty towels and empty the trash cans, which they did. The hotel itself is nice, and the suite was comfortable, but the lack of communication regarding housekeeping and the inconsistent service were disappointing and left a sour taste during what should have been a special family celebration.

Rooms are like suites with kitchen and couch, very spacious. Not walkable to downtown but quick by car. Highly recommended.

Breakfast could be improved

This was our second time staying here at Hyatt House Davis. This is the place where we stay when visiting Davis. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. On the first trip our stove did not work. The hotel sent maintenance and the fixed the stove right away. On this current trip, our refrigerator was not cooling. Again, the hotel sent maintenance. This time however, the refrigerator was still not working very well. It was cooling, but not really keeping our water and sodas cold. The other amenities such as the pool and complimentary breakfast were fine.

Great place to stay, clean, comfortable and easy access to freeway. Rate 4 out if 5 stars, need to pay for daily parking. This was not disclosed when I originally booked.

Pros: - Large rooms with a separate living space and kitchen. (The dining table doubles as a workspace/desk.) - The included breakfast isn’t the usual cold items, like pastries and cereal, but rather hot items, like bacon and eggs. - There is a heated pool. - There is a bar and cafe onsite. Cons: - The shower was not clean! There was hair (not mine) on the wall, and there were unknown dark things in the corners of the floor. I tried to rinse the shower before using it, but the shower floor wasn’t sloped enough for the water to drain properly, so I had to stand in a mini pool with these floating objects! - If your room faces the freeway, the windows and doors will rattle from the pressure change when trucks drive by! This is more obvious at night when there’s no other noises, making it difficult for sensitive sleepers to sleep! - The lobby is cute but wasn’t staffed when I checked in. - Though there’s a bar and cafe, I never saw anyone working there over the 2 days I was there. - Though there’s a pool, it is small and not well maintained so there were lots of debris floating in it. It didn’t make for a nice swim or soak, which I was looking forward to since it was over 100F.
