Quality Inn Dayton North - Vandalia

Never agian.

Do not go there. It was dirty and it doesn’t look like the picture.on the website.

Pictures show to GRIME in the air vent in the room, which barely worked, the broken safety locks, broken door handles, even the lampshades were disgusting. Wish I would have taken more pictures, I just wanted to get out ASAP.

Unable to use the pool as of yet. But pretty much everything else okay.

No pool- no hot tub. Rooms not clean at 6p. Stuff left in fridge in “cleaned” room.

Very dirty. Old, nasty, dirty, rusted out refrigerator, stove, floors

The stuffs were very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast in the morning was just as bad for a bare minimum feeding. There were no juice options, oatmeal packs, nor meat served. Not even a selection of oranges/apples to grab.

First off, there were signs up about how this is a non-smoking hotel, but the smell of smoke was impossible to ignore. There were food items in the fridge from a previous guest that had not been cleaned up. The sink was clogged with vomit, and the lamp flickered with a dead bulb that had been ignored. The paint was all scuffed up, and the AC was set to 82 for some reason. There were no protein options at breakfast, no waffle mix, no napkins, and no one on staff to check people out. I am incredibly disappointed and disgusted and will not be visiting this location again.

Pictures are deceiving and the place is completely run down. Everything was dirty from the sheets / bedding with stains, sinking mattresses, visible mold all over the shower, bathtub, toilet. The smell was so awful. I couldn’t even stay and checked out in less than an hour. It felt unsafe and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone but especially a solo travelers. And on top of all of this Expedia wouldn’t do anything to help me out! They said they called the property but couldn’t get in touch with anyone. . . Not helpful at all and ruined the first day of my cross country road trip. Thanks Expedia!

This hotel is the worst. Please avoid at all cost. Smelled of mold & mildew. I was going to stay a week didn't last a day. The pool was dirty. This hotel hotel didn't feel safe for kids. More like a half way house.

Filthy room, fridge not working, tv not working and bugs in bathroom.

There was a washer but no working dryer. Also they said breakfast was 630-10am and she locked it up by 830

The A/c air filters were dirty, the remote control was broken, no channel line up in room, pet hair on couch.

This was an older property. The icemaker was not working for the entire stay and no solution was offered by the staff, the hot tub was not working and by the cleanliness it was not working for a significant time, and the laundry facilities were not working. The pool was quite cold for an indoor pool. The breakfast that was available was not to the standards of other Quality Inn\Choice hotels that we have stayed in. Staff were always pleasant and tried to resolve small issues, example missing lightbulbs, extra towels. But the larger issues were not resolved. I would think that Choice Hotels should be called on to assist with the bigger issues to bring them up to the standard we are used to.

Got a two night room through Expedia and had something come up the first night so we couldn’t check in. Tried to check in the next day but had to pay for another entirely separate room for one night because the reservation didn’t stand but I still had to pay for both nights. The room I paid for separate from this reservation had no refrigerator at all, the ice machine in the hotel did not work, the pool was too cold to even swim laps in, and the hot tub was out of order and I wasn’t told until I asked them after checking in. Will not stay here again.
