noise, smoking allowed everywhere, gunshots, drug addicts in the pkg lot, stayed 7 nights, beds made/changed once. worst red roof inn I've ever stayed in

Got upgraded to a suite. Opening the door was difficult. Backwards! Had to lift the handle up. Also no door on the bathroom.

I stayed here while attending the DCI show across the street at the stadium and was really pleased with the overall value. The location right on Lincoln Highway is super convenient, especially if you need to be near Northern Illinois University. The staff at check-in were friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean and comfortable with nice extras like a mini-fridge and microwave, though there was a slight odor of smoke in the room when I first walked in. That aside, you can’t beat the price for what you get. I’d definitely stay again when passing through.

Perfect for the purpose. Close to - walking distance bars and restaurants. Excellent price. !! Good if attending sporting events at NIU. Close to all game areas. Ample parking. It just was great. Staff made sure as a semi handicapped person I had a ground floor room. Overnight girl was so polite and helpful. I wish all motels had people like her!

Room was clean and beds comfortable. No breakfast. Liquid soap/gel in the shower was not much use; too slow or not much there.
