It’s Key to know that this is a motel. This is not a Hampton Inn or Hilton level hotel. As a motel, it was fine. It had a bedroom and a separate room with a kitchenette sofa, table and chairs. We were able to cook all of our meals using the kitchenette that was present. It had all of the cooking items, plates, utensils, etc., that we needed and then we washed everything in the sink each day. The TV had very limited options. It was basically just the standard local networks with the digital extra channels that come with them. We were surprised that there was no cable. The sleeper sofa was OK. It worked, but the mattress was pretty uncomfortable and difficult to get a good night. sleep on. The motel is located about 1 mile from Denali so it’s walkable to the national Park and it’s a very short drive, so the location was really good. We enjoyed our stay once we lowered our expectations that we were staying in a motel and not a hotel.

I would not recommend this place at all. My father passed away a day before my trip. I contacted the property manager to request cancellation of my trip. They did not help me out with my cancellation or refund my money.

Great location and staff. Clean room and kitchen was a plus. Thank you.

Short on parking spaces.

The only downside was the lack of a ramp or elevator to access the second floor, which made carrying our heavy suitcases a bit challenging. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would highly recommend staying here.

We got to the room and it smelled like bleach in the room, terrible. After a few minutes there I have got a headache, my kids were complaining from the smell. Dirty bathroom, so disgusting and they changed too much for such a condition of the place. A lot of hair in the bathroom, disgusting, not week cleaned.

No bells and whistles here but it’s a clean property very close to Denali national park and has a lot of breakfast and lunch/dinner options within walking distance.

I would never recommend anyone staying here. You will experience rude behavior at the reception itself. Looks like they don’t want you as a customer. There are lots of things to share about our negative experience but would limit myself. Never staying here again.

The staff was wonderful and gave excellent recommendations for food. They were also very very nice and welcoming

Old building but kind staff and very close to Denali

Towels should be provided more . We were party of 4 . Only two big towels in the room only . Not enough for 4 people . Trash should be done by staff on the customer .

The room was spacious and clean and location was great. They could just use some dark curtains

Great location. Room was clean.

The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's always nice to have a full kitchen to provide meal options. Location was great! We arrived by train and were able to get around easily without a car, getting to/from train station by motel shuttle, accessing shuttles serving Danali National Park and a river rafting launch, and walking to shops and restaurants along the boardwalk.

The location is amazing! It is just a few miles from Denali National Park. We stayed at the motel section and it was clean and seemed fairly new. The beds were comfortable. The shower was good. They have soap and shampoo. There is a fridge and microwave too. The windows open with a screen on them and they have a big fan mounted on the wall, so we stayed cool and comfortable. They even sell bear spray for $50 at the check in desk. There are several cafes and shops on the front part of the motel. The RV section is in a gravel parking area behind the motel near the trees. The area felt safe. They have quiet hours after 10 pm. It was clean, comfortable, and was better than we were expecting. It’s still expensive, just like everything else in Alaska, but the location and good condition of the room were worth the price.

Great location right near the entrance to Denali Park and close to restaurants and shops. Across the street from Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. Clean, simple rooms and shuttle to and from the train depot.
-
We enjoyed some of the nearby restaurants and gift shops. A lot of fun activities to do nearby. We were able to get a free shuttle back and forth to the train.

The office staff was rude and intrusive with questions so much so it was uncomfortable. They have eight parking spots or you must park in front of a private business, no elevator, no trolly, no ice, the room was dusty, and the fans were loud, There are notes about about extra fees everywhere and you need to ask for fresh towels and the office staff will tell you that they do not get paid enough for helping with getting fresh towels and removal of basic trash. I asked for a normal amount of towels and had daily standard level of trash. Watch out for rudeness, EXTRA fees, and zero parking. Good Luck!!
