Also the hotel was closing so halls were lined with items being cleared from the room. When trying to call the hotel to speak to the manager the day after leaving a recording said call back next year. The restaurant was challenging as well. I had to go up to the bar to get wine ordered because waitress was not available. When we asked for two to go containers for 4 plates of food she asked if we could put it all in one because they were saving the Togo boxes for others. The parking lot was full of contractors equipment and you had to walk to the restaurant in the main building . They should have closed rather than booking rooms and probiotics bad service. The one bright spot was the waitress for breakfast. She was very busy yet very nice and attentive. It was nice to end the visit with one nice experience. I have stayed at the Denali Princess previously and it was very nice. You should send people there. I am requesting a partial refund for the rooms.

The staff was wonderful and they made things alright for us, but....omg I cant believe such a big company would let the property be so s****y. Our bathroom smelled like roadhouse men bathroom, no exaggeration. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling of from all walls. Everything is OLD and OUTDATED. I do understand, we are in Alaska and the standards will be a bit different, but this is not some moms and pops small business with limited resources. It is a multimillion company that can and should do better, especially that they charge $$$$ for each night. Definitely wouldn't stay there again. Luckily, the staff is very nice, I described the room the the lady at the front desk, she winked and said, dont worry I got you (probably she has heard that before), and we got moved to another room. The room was still outdated and sad looking but at least it didnt smell.

The pictures are not the type of room you will book. The room is more like a summer camp feeling room. You have to climb crooked steps and the couch is old like it's been there forever. The room itself was also crooked on the floor. Super bait with the pictures and switch to a crappy room. I would normally expect to pay 70.00 a night for the quality of this room, not 300.00!! On the plus side, the manager did switch us to a slightly more up to date room, still nothing like pictured, but better than the first room. The shuttle drivers were nice and there are a lot of activities on the property but we didn't use them due to time constraints. Overall, I would book elsewhere unless you like to waste money or if you can find this for 75.00 a night.

It is a little difficult to find my room at first because it is a large resort. But the location and the hotel is perfect for a Denali park day. It has free shuttle around the area.

The staff were good were very welcoming - as soon as I check in I realized there is no internet and the thing I hate the most is they don't accept it. Overall I was not satisfied with the property. I understand they are doing their best but it needs to be better

There’s either a lot of walking around the property to get places or there’s a shuttle service. Since I had a car to park it was a little inconvenient not to be able to park next to the building my room was in. So just be prepared to walk or wait for a shuttle.

Very convenient location and shuttle service to the Denali National Park. Beautiful landscapes and views. Comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Parking is surprisingly far from the lodge, but it mattered only at the beginning and the end, since we did not need to use the car during our stay there.

Avoid at all costs! Definitely not someplace you would want to stay. The great outdoors does not even tip the scale. It’s not worth it at any price and they fetch a really high price.

Amenities were very spread out. Grounds were not welcoming at all. Felt like they spruced up some new areas and put those pictures online not giving a true picture of where you actually stayed

There was nothing notable to mention that was good. Parking was too far away from our room to make our 2 night stay efficient. The carpet was super dirty. The furnishings were old and worn. No refrigerator and no complimentary coffee in our lodge building. The room coffee was horrible. For $400 and night I expect nicer accommodations with at least some amenities. I'll never take a Holland cruise based on thus experience.

We had a good stay overall. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even offering to send someone to help carry our luggage since the buildings did not have working elevators. The rooms were comfortable and clean, but it would have been nice to have a refrigerator. The only significant drawback was that the window blinds did not fully cover the windows, making it difficult to sleep during Alaska's long summer daylight hours.

The location is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. The rooms are very outdated. The carpet is so dirty. The beds are old. No working AC - tiny fans in the rooms. The elevators were not working, and we heard it had been over a week with no movement.

This resort and the one next door are owned by Carnival so there is a large cruise ship “feel” about the place, which is not our taste. Check-in was a fiasco. Without our consent or knowledge, we were assigned an accessible room and had to request a change. While waiting more than an hour in the room for an attendant to give us new keys and help us move, another family descended upon the room saying it had been assigned to them, and they were equally unhappy with the room. Ironic that this “accessible” room was on the third floor in a building with two non-functioning elevators that had evidently been down for some time. In our new room—also on the third floor and requiring walking up 2 flights of stairs— bathroom needed updating and shower curtain had pink mildew stains on it. No A/C and the temp was in the high 70s so we had to make do with fans in a room with no cross-ventilation. Will not stay here again.

We stayed in the c building and the rooms were just ok, very tired and old. Noise from second floor was loud. Outside buildings and the village below was nice but I could recommend this place. Unfortunately availability is very limited so didn’t have a choice maybe that is why they don’t bother to improve them.

Grounds and environment were amazing! Bed was super comfy. Elevator broken for all days we were there - schlepping heavy bags up three flights was rough. Vending machine broken - kept floor checking to find one that worked. Room did not have fridge, microwave or iron.

The staff was excellent and the room was quiet and cozy.

Loved everything about it! So much to do at all times! Perfect location and loved the shuttle to Denali

Big property but they have a shuttle bus running on a continuous loop that picks you up. We never had to wait long for it to pick us up. The cleaning staff needs to learn courtesy. We were trying to nap and they kept slamming doors as they went in and out of rooms cleaning. There were several of them cleaning several rooms at once. I asked them to please stop slamming doors yet it continued. Otherwise, I would highly recommend staying here
