We had a good stay overall. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even offering to send someone to help carry our luggage since the buildings did not have working elevators. The rooms were comfortable and clean, but it would have been nice to have a refrigerator. The only significant drawback was that the window blinds did not fully cover the windows, making it difficult to sleep during Alaska's long summer daylight hours.

The location is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. The rooms are very outdated. The carpet is so dirty. The beds are old. No working AC - tiny fans in the rooms. The elevators were not working, and we heard it had been over a week with no movement.

This resort and the one next door are owned by Carnival so there is a large cruise ship “feel” about the place, which is not our taste. Check-in was a fiasco. Without our consent or knowledge, we were assigned an accessible room and had to request a change. While waiting more than an hour in the room for an attendant to give us new keys and help us move, another family descended upon the room saying it had been assigned to them, and they were equally unhappy with the room. Ironic that this “accessible” room was on the third floor in a building with two non-functioning elevators that had evidently been down for some time. In our new room—also on the third floor and requiring walking up 2 flights of stairs— bathroom needed updating and shower curtain had pink mildew stains on it. No A/C and the temp was in the high 70s so we had to make do with fans in a room with no cross-ventilation. Will not stay here again.

We stayed in the c building and the rooms were just ok, very tired and old. Noise from second floor was loud. Outside buildings and the village below was nice but I could recommend this place. Unfortunately availability is very limited so didn’t have a choice maybe that is why they don’t bother to improve them.

Grounds and environment were amazing! Bed was super comfy. Elevator broken for all days we were there - schlepping heavy bags up three flights was rough. Vending machine broken - kept floor checking to find one that worked. Room did not have fridge, microwave or iron.

The staff was excellent and the room was quiet and cozy.

Loved everything about it! So much to do at all times! Perfect location and loved the shuttle to Denali

Big property but they have a shuttle bus running on a continuous loop that picks you up. We never had to wait long for it to pick us up. The cleaning staff needs to learn courtesy. We were trying to nap and they kept slamming doors as they went in and out of rooms cleaning. There were several of them cleaning several rooms at once. I asked them to please stop slamming doors yet it continued. Otherwise, I would highly recommend staying here

Hotel grounds are great for evening walks. They have kids playground and husky puppies socializing every day at 2PM which was great for our 3 and 8 years old children.

Nothing good about the place

Hotel is a wilderness experience - laid out on wooded land with multiple hotel/lodging buildings throughout (accessible by walking and hotel shuttle). This really wasn't apparent from the photos. The room itself was clean but not maintained - the furniture finishes were heavily worn in the bathroom and the room was generally dated. No air conditioning so we left the window open with a fan on. There restaurant in the middle of the resort was 4.5/5. We would visit again if in the area again. It would be nice to park next to hotel room rather than park in front of property only.

Less critical: They didn’t have sheets ready for the hideaway bed. The room is very caged considering the cost and rating. It’s a 1.5-2 star hotel with 4-5 star pricing. Onsite restaurant was incredibly slow. It took 2 hours for two salads and a bowl of chili. The positive: the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and the shuttle access around the hotel and to Denali were top notch.

Wi-Fi did not work for guests during the entire stay. Staff appeared clueless about the issue, even though all of the reservation and administration works were unaffected. We did not find dining options (especially breakfast) on the property convenient.
-
Free breakfast, excellent service, and warm and attentive reception at the front desk. And great helping arrange our park connection bus on time, wonderful staffs
-
Slow check in. Breakfast buffet was over priced. Beautiful property though.
-
Great location. Easy access to activities due to the hotel shuttle service
-
Excellent service and location. Very good food.
-
Room was pretty clean.
-
You can make some charging points near bed and keep microwave and refrigerator in the room. I need a zero balance receipt from your end.

Scenic location with short trails around. Convenient access to shops across the Denali highway.
