Denali Bluffs Hotel

Excellent service for luggage to be delivered to and from the train station to right at the door of the hotel room. Great views and easy walk up and down, we were late for the scheduled pickup from the train station, they kindly making extra effort to arrange the pick up. Very much appreciated.

I received an unexplained charge and have not received a response after numerous calls and emails

Booked the double standard room. Room was very small and not very clean. Only one key to this particular room not an electronic lockable lock. Very inconvenient for two or more guests. One of the beds had a metal post protruding out from under the bed skirt, which was not noticeable and caused an injury. Management had the bed fixed, but no apology or any type of compensation was made. I would not recommend this hotel and will most likely stay at the Denali princess wilderness Lodge, where I had a wonderful meal in one of their restaurants with amazing view. I am very disappointed in Denali Bluffs hotel.

The staff was friendly when checking in. Unfortunately, room was dirty. There was a spider on the curtains and hairs in the shower. The floors looked like the had not been swept. Also the restroom moldings looked to have urine stains. Loved that the luggage was able to be taken to the train station. That was very nice.

Parking is awful at this property. Also very challenging to get luggage to your room as this property sits on a steep hill. If you don’t get parking in the only decent lot you’re stuck hauling your stuff up a hill. Bed comfortable. Would not stay here again.

This location is geat. Definitely choose the Deluxe Room over the Standard Room. The Deluxe rooms are more private, newer, and have the best views. The balcony looking onto the park and it's stunning. Worth the extra spend. We had a car, but the shuttle was regular and many people used it. You are within walking distance of the nearby eateries. Denali is a bit far to walk - recommend the shuttle. We asked for/received more pillows. Denali Bluffs was one of the better hotels from seeing the others.

Everything is good except parking lots are less.

The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in my life. There are no elevators, not enough parking for all guests. It was a disappointment. Room rate way overpriced for what it is.

Would stay indefinitely if possible.

Rooms were small and a little outdated

We had a great room with a balcony that overlooked the mountains and park. The layout included several buildings some of which involved walking up and down small hills. So that may be a consideration for some people. Found the staff very helpful, one provided a ride service (see photo) when the schedule of their shuttle buses and the buses for Denali did not work for us. (for some late evening, arrivals back from inside the park.) the hotel shuttle will drop you off at the bottom of a hill where you can go to several restaurants and shops – – which is very nice. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and although pricey, was good. I would definitely recommend it.

There is no view from many of the rooms, especially ours. We could see the woods behind us and that is all. I asked for a room that would be good for an elderly man with a cane and did get a ground floor room, but it was the one furthest from the bus stop. If you get a decent price, this is an adequate place to stay, but don't overpay like I did. It is shameful what they charged for a mediocre room with no breakfast, no perks, and very few amenities. It's only feature is distance to Denali. Do yourself a favor, if you have to stay here, and take their free shuttle up to the Grand Denali Lodge to eat and to take in the views from that location. Denali Bluffs appears to be their overflow location and not nearly as good.

The room was amazing; good shower and bed. The shuttle drivers were super friendly. The hotel has guest laundry facilities. The breakfast buffet was good, and they allowed us to pack some food for the hikes. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was subpar. The food was cold, some vegetables were not well-cooked, and the plates were pricey.

After being on the road for a week, we were Grateful to have a guest laundry available. There is also a microwave in the laundry room which came in handy to reheat pizza.

Unacceptably overpriced. And on the top of it they make you pay for luggage delivery from the train station which is normally free! Staff (Ron) wasn't super clear about it.

Price was high for 2 nights of my stay

Very nice clean room with a great shower

Excellent staff, location, and moderate price We had noise problem(closed system plumbiing) known by the staff, causing us sleeping problems. We also smelled sanitary sewer odors while on the premises.

Location, services like shuttle. Room was dark n dingy, quite small, no fan.

Staff and location were amazing. Only reason this didn’t get a higher rating was the noise. Could hear every step of the person above us. Otherwise they had great restaurants, views were awesome as well as the convenience of being close to Denali park entrance and lots of cute shops nearby
