Always a good experience

Stayed in a Catbird Suite with a lofted bed. Room was clean and bathroom was big with a good shower. Room was efficient but awkward. Have to be very careful walking around the bed because it is on moveable drawers. Sofa bed is very uncomfortable and not good for anyone other than a small child. Hotel overall is pretentious and lacking warmth or a welcoming feeling from the staff, especially the guy at the weird front desk/bar/restaurant. Request for anything extra - such as a request to have housekeeping make the sofa bed - was met with thinly veiled annoyance and declined. Valet charge is $52 but they seem to park the cars in the $5 lot across the street, so skip the valet who won’t help take luggage out of the car anyway. Rooftop bar, which was a major reason we chose the hotel, was closed for a private event on 4th of July and our disappointment was met with an uninterested shrug.

The self check-in was a bit confusing: after entering key information (name, etc), the prompt was "scan" but the question was to scan what? Your license? Your credit card? One of the blank hotel keycards next to the monitor? After nothing seemed to work, I gave up and went to the desk, which was really the kitchen counter. After the check-in process, the room was actually quite nice. I had a small "loft" where everything was ingeniously planned out. Small and reminiscent of a dorm room, there was plenty of storage, and lots of amenities: a kitchenette (complete with dishwasher), all kinds of hooks and hangers, and even a clothes steamer. Two ways to watch TV: on the small TV hung on the wall or projected onto the huge window which blacked out with the appropriate screen. The valet parking was very expensive (as was the room, but maybe that's because it was a holiday weekend). All in all, very creative and fun.

Also...the body wash and lotion—OMG! They smelled incredible. I completely forgot to ask what brand or scent they use because I would absolutely buy it. The valet parking is pricey, but we chose it so we wouldn't have to haul our luggage from farther away, and it was worth the convenience. The room itself was so much fun! I loved the projector screen, and the extra-high bed was such a cool touch. The kitchenette had everything you would need if you wanted to cook a meal during your stay. The bathroom was a work of art. I loved the overhead rainfall shower and the handheld pull-out shower head—it felt so luxurious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. One thing to note: the hotel is dog-friendly, so you may hear dogs barking occasionally, but it wasn't excessive. Thank you, Catbird, for helping make my birthday special. I hope to stay with you again soon!

Indigo at the front was tremendously helpful getting us into our room early after we drove through the night unexpectedly. Location was central to everything

I love this hotel! It’s trendy, smartly designed, great lobby and atmosphere, helpful staff, convenient location, super clean. I wish I have a studio looking like this. Great concept, really loved my stay at the Catbird.

Absolutely love this place. Great location for shows at Mission!
-
Clean, beautiful and located in the heart of where everything is! Housekeeping doesn’t come unless you’re staying for 7 days plus.

Great property in an awesome location. Gym was well equipped and our projector screen TV was an awesome touch. Super unique place, would highly recommend!

I had a nice weekend stay. Enjoyed the rooftop. The hot tubs were out of service. There are many amenities but the hotel staff doesn’t tell you much at check in ( gym, record player rental) etc. The room was nice. We did one of the larger suites. On the second night there were ants in the unit so we asked to switch and it was accommodated. Unfortunately the room was a downgraded room but it was the last night and it wasn’t a big deal. They did comp some of the stay which was nice. The area is walkable.

If I’m in Denver again I will definitely be staying here again!

They squeezed down staff to a level that there was no hospitality component. Self check in (that didn’t work). No front desk or front desk staff. No one to call or go to with a question. We had a problem with our toilet valve not closing properly, but I never saw any general staff to tell about it—only security or restaurant.

Friendly staff. Neat building. Not quite as clean as it could have been. Ice on our floor was out the entire time. The tv in our room did not work. For what you got for breakfast it was way overpriced. Fitness center was impressive. The rooftop seemed dirty and wasn’t a space for everyone. The bed was very comfortable. Overall it was good but dropping the ball as far as not paying attention to the small stuff that needs cleaned. Vallets were great!
