Hampton Inn Des Moines-Airport

Very close to the airport, and a shuttle service. Lovely staff, quiet and clean rooms.

Not very soundproof

Hotel was good if you just needed a place to stay for the night. I wouldn’t really recommend if you’re planning a long stay. A bit overpriced for the quality.

got bed bug bites. the staff provided a report that said no "live"bed bugs were found. However the report included other another room that had also reported bed bugs. They can deny all they want. I got bed bites there. It took 2 months for the bites to go away. End of story. Make your own decision. I had never in my life had that happen to me. No refund, no apologies. Nothing. Beware.

The stay was just okay. The carpet was sticky and needs to be replaced.

good attitude

Staff was friendly and helpful when we got there. Parking was perfect. Breakfast was very good. The room needs new carpet.

Overall the room was great and the bed and pillows were super comfortable, but the room smelt like something burned in there. The free breakfast was just ok, and one the morning from desk clerk was not overly pleasant and the cleaning crew just didn't speak to us.

Good stay

The sheets on the bed had not been changed. These were old - worn sheets. The mattress cover was bunched up under the bottom sheet… horribly uncomfortable. The rug and bathroom floor were so dirty I had to wash my feet before putting on shoes.

Great place to stay and is real close to the airport

The staff is accommodating and friendly. The property is showing its age but I will keep using them because of their helpfulness.

Friendly staff

Two large dogs were roaming the lobby when we arrived, terrifying my son. The clerk quickly put them in the room behind the counter. The A/C in our room was turned off and it was incredibly humid and smelled like pee. The lady who drove the shuttle was very kind though and drove us to the rental car center. We won’t return to this property though because of the state of the room.

Location, friendly staff, free parking, pool, complimentary breakfast, cleanliness AC was abnormally loud, low toilet seat, no exhaust fan in bathroom, bathroom door was hard to shut
