Quality Inn & Suites Des Moines Airport

First thing I noticed when I got to my room was someone put a shower cap over the smoke detector. This was obviously done so someone could smoke in the room. There was a ceramic tile on the bathroom floor that was broken and would pop out when stepped on. It was sharp and could easily cut someone’s foot. The TV didn’t work so we had to call for a maintenance guy to try and fix it. He got it working but periodically the tv would disconnect from the cable and turn off. The maintenance man was helpful but had horrible body odor. After he was done trying to fix our tv we had to air out the room to get the smell out. The free breakfast was disappointing. It consisted of soggy scrambled eggs, waffles and biscuits and gravy but no potatoes or any kind of sausage or bacon. The coffee tasted horrible. The room wasn’t too expensive but I expected more from this brand of hotel.

Hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. It’s across the street from street from the airport and close to everything you could think of.

Hotel was priced competitively…Drawback was no hot tub to enjoy because it was inop? Of course no elevator to access the upper floor & a lack of a fitness center??? Breakfast was adequate being that the same exact food is served every morning? It would be nice to serve a breakfast meat? Otherwise, my stay was fine…

This place was so dank and smelled so bad. Like bad subway. There were pipes leaking water into the parking lot that smelled like sewage, and the entire hotel was humid. Not to mention the person at the desk seemed like I was the last person they wanted to see when I walked in the door.

Breakfast was actually gross. Powdered eggs were watery. The waffle mix had a foul taste to it. The orange juice was like yellow water. The hot tub/spa was out of order.

We asked for fresh sheets and all they did was remake the bed. I know cause there was a small red stain on the blanket before that never got swapped out. Hallways smelled like mold and hot tub wasn’t working

Towels were softer than other hotels Charging port didn't work, no extra pillows for a queen sized bedroom, hot tube wasn't working, breakfast selection was basic

AC worked Pool usable. Hot tub out of order. WiFi quite slow. Floor above us squeeked all night as the people walked around. Loud enough to wake us. Breakfast offering just adequate. Missed cleaning our room once.

I had to get a different hotel at 11p.m. and walked there - dead-tired and with luggage in tow. So I paid for two places for the first night.

N:A The bedding and pillow cases had stains and it only had stairs no elevator

Close and convenient to the airport

Rooms were clean, breakfast was okay. TV didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it until our second night there.

Handicap room not available ,but room assigned was larger than expected. Breakfast as all other hotel was good. Need more fruit variety.

Bedding is clean.

The complimentary shuttle to and from the airport at 1am and at 4am was extremely helpful.

Staff was very friendly - let me check in a little early. Room was very clean and reasonably comfortable. breakfast was ok- nothing to write home about, pretty standard. Free shuttle to and from airport was super convenient and fast. Would recommended to anyone needing to be close to airport
