Home2 Suites by Hilton Des Moines at Drake University

The overall hotel was really nice only disappointment was the breakfast. The eggs and the bacon were horrible you could tell that it was microwaved items and it was very dry.

The room itself was pretty clean and nice. You could tell that the doors dont often get wiped down, they were pretty smudged where they have been touched a lot. It was nice having the kitchenette in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was just ok, we both woke up sore. The bathroom door lock was broken, so we couldn't lock the door. Probably the worst part was the breakfast. Do not plan to eat there. Maybe the worst hotel breakfast we have ever had. Overall nothing was a deal breaker and would stay at again if we ever needed to, but there's always room for improvement.

Parking space is narrow. Parking lot is not enough. Front door entrance is right at the street. 5 stars.

Stayed there with my toddler for two days, and it was excellent! Literally across the street from the University. Staff were amazing and friendly from check-in to checkout. Free breakfast was great too! Definitely will be staying there when we go back!

We traveled to this hotel together with our softball team. Having a nice pool is a perk. The gas barbecue grills were also a bonus as we enjoy dinner together one evening. There was a nice area inside to sit and relax and outside as well. The beds were comfortable which is what is of the utmost importance. The only complaint I had was the breakfast was mediocre, at best. They could definitely work on quality of the meats and eggs. They were like hockey pucks.

Room was great except the TV going out. Must be a Home2 Suites thing as it did the same at the one we stayed at in Minneapolis.

nice spacious suite room with full-size refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink, dishwasher (not cooktop), comfortable bed, internet worked fine, excellent breakfast with hot and cold choices. Only one block from the Drake Diner for other tasty meals. Convenient to Drake and downtown with free parking.

Room was spacious and clean. Hot and cold items available on the breakfast bar. Quiet room and within walking distance to a Jimmy John’s and Chinese restaurant. Drake University campus across the street. No classes were in session when I was there. Not sure how busy it gets when the semester begins.

Bathroom lights were annoying. That was my only complaint.

The only feed back i have is that the breakfast wasn't the best. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Limited staffing so if you need someone at the front desk you will be waiting a while. Literally across from the school so it’s a great Drake location.

The staff was very friendly, our room was incredibly clean, it's walkable to several restaurants, the breakfast was great & the staff was attentive to it.
