Hyatt Place Des Moines/Downtown

This stay was not good. Room was not cleaned well. Comforter was dirty and stained. Was refused a replacement. Makes you wonder about the rest of the bedding. Bed was very uncomfortable. On street parking unless want to pay overpriced parking garage. No knowledge of area from staff.

Adia and her entire staff were so helpful and welcoming. The room, pool, the location and the free breakfast all was great. Easy to walk and get to great restaurants, an Iowa Cubs baseball game and a free concert on the river. We had a wonderful time and we will be back!

Very fair to poor Hyatt Place experience. Basically old hotel rebranded but no new feel

Could use some updates but all and all the stay was nice.

Very happy with the friendly, helpful staff. We had some unfortunate events pop up over our stay and the employees at the front desk were amazing!

The room was clean. Breakfast was great! There were kitchen made omelets, sausage, and potatoes. It's in a good location downtown with easy walking to downtown entertainment.

Parking was fair- their parking garage was always booked and no onsite parking outside of that. I had to pay the whole stay, but other than this the place was great.

I get the name has to match but she didn’t have to be so short with us. When as my partner and I talked amongst ourselves she would interject to say “they’re going to charge you a whole new reservation, etc.” just adding extra stress. A Debbie downer told you so attitude vs. a more courteous and empathetic approach. Expedia ended up fixing the name but the process could’ve been more supported with the proper energy. She fixed it at the end by saying it was out of her hands which I get, but I see where the 3 stars comes from. After traveling 5 hours it’s not how you want to be greeted.

Huge, spacious rooms that were clean and comfortable. Walking distance to several restaurants. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The room was also very spacious, and the dual head shower was really nice. The bed wasn't very comfy and the TV doesn't have streaming services. Also, no microwave in the room. I made the ' pet friendly' booking through Booking.com and I thought ever was paid for but they charged me an additional $75 for the pet. Not their fault just not disclosed thru Booking.com.

Staff was very nice. Didn't like how loud u could hear people in the hallway.

The continental breakfast was a great deal with the room.. stayed Friday through Sunday and main dish was different each day everything was fresh and hot.. Hotel was alittle dated, but very clean and property was very well maintained.I would definitely stay again ..

Our room was nice and big, but had a stale smell to it. The staff were very nice and personable. There was only one elevator. In the lobby area on our floor there were four elevators, but only one worked-this was really difficult since our son uses a wheelchair.

It was fancy No microwave in the room is absurd

Couldn't find it so I canceled it out.
