Very good

Our room was comfortable and we had an amazing view of the Iowa State Capitol. AMAZING! The pool area was clean and fun! The breakfast was delicious! Easy walking distance to lots of places and dining. We picked Hessen Haus and would go back every time. Hands down a great trip thanks to the hospitality of the hotel and HH. I would add lotion to the amenities and maybe some seltzer waters for purchase. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a clean, pleasant, and familiar place to stay with a great location near the ballpark and Court Avenue district.

Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, easily accessible, parking convenient, really nice breakfast and pool was a hit with the kids

I frequent the ladies room on the main floor that I s very clean. My room was excellent as was the bathroom, kitchen, bedding and storage areas. We went to the pool area and it was clean however needed some towels and the drain in front of the lounge chairs was not draining.

The room we had, Room #107, was absolutely amazing....we didn't want to leave! We absolutely loved our room. Just wish the pool could be open a little later?

Check-in was quick and easy, staff was wonderful and the room included everything we needed.

The three female staff I encountered were very nice and friendly. Everything was smooth and the room was great! It was super close to the farmers market! I would stay here again!

Clean room

Clean, friendly employees, nice atmosphere, good breakfast. Difficult to find where to park before you check in. The parking in front of the building says no parking.

They doubled charged us and refuse to address the matter. They send you all over the place and nobody will help to resolve the situation. They have been nothing but rude. I just needed it resolved.

Location, friendly staff. Bathroom door had hinge problem and would not close. Garbage disposal did not work. I let them know at checkout.

The room amenities We went to the pool area when it opened. We were there for two hours at the beginning of our arrival there we said hey there’s no towels that are clean in the pool area. We were there for two hours and there’s still were no tiles we had to leave soaking wet. The door to outside in the pool room was propped open with a towel and there were bugs in the water. There were dirty towels and wrappers all over the place. We also heard kids running around the building all hours of the night in our hallway upstairs in the stairs next to hallway. We also were charged double for our room. The young gal who was very sweet charged us an extra $150 for a room even though we had paid through booking.com previously.

All around excellent would stay

We stayed just one night. Chose entirely because it was close proximity to the Iowa Cubs stadium. The room was spacious, clean and welcoming. Breakfast was exceptional many options including several healthy options - truly one of the best ‘free’ hotel breakfasts I’ve had - and I’ve traveled a lot. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!
