Residence Inn Des Moines Downtown

Only complaint is dim lighting in the bathroom area. I truly don't understand that decision.

The building and location was perfect. Good breakfast as well! My only complaint was the air conditioning wasn’t working properly in our room. It was cool but it was very damp. The paper map that I had was “wet” from laying on the table. Something isn’t working correct to remove the humidity.

Had to move rooms because of the train but that was my fault for not doing better research on the property. Stayed in a room facing the garden side and it was fine as far as train noise. Rooms were nice and clean and beds comfy. We had some issues with the air and shower in room 218. Hopefully they get it fixed for the next people. Breakfast was ok. More options for breakfast would be nice. Great location and close to bars and restaurants.

Our room was comfortable and we had an amazing view of the Iowa State Capitol. AMAZING! The pool area was clean and fun! The breakfast was delicious! Easy walking distance to lots of places and dining. We picked Hessen Haus and would go back every time. Hands down a great trip thanks to the hospitality of the hotel and HH. I would add lotion to the amenities and maybe some seltzer waters for purchase. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a clean, pleasant, and familiar place to stay with a great location near the ballpark and Court Avenue district.

Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, easily accessible, parking convenient, really nice breakfast and pool was a hit with the kids

I frequent the ladies room on the main floor that I s very clean. My room was excellent as was the bathroom, kitchen, bedding and storage areas. We went to the pool area and it was clean however needed some towels and the drain in front of the lounge chairs was not draining.

The room we had, Room #107, was absolutely amazing....we didn't want to leave! We absolutely loved our room. Just wish the pool could be open a little later?

Convenient

Check-in was quick and easy, staff was wonderful and the room included everything we needed.

Great hotel , all very new . Comfortable rooms and very good location. Parking available

The three female staff I encountered were very nice and friendly. Everything was smooth and the room was great! It was super close to the farmers market! I would stay here again!

Clean room

Clean, friendly employees, nice atmosphere, good breakfast. Difficult to find where to park before you check in. The parking in front of the building says no parking.

Would stay again !
