Hilton Des Moines Downtown

Overall great hotel. Upscale facilities, nice main space, good rooms. Need to add streaming to TVs and would prefer walk in showers to bathtubs.

Clean and well-designed hotel with friendly, helpful staff at the desk, bar and restaurant. Room was very spacious. Parking is expensive on-site but very handy. Another garage is a block away and accessible by skywalk. I would stay again.

You have to pay $30 per night to park at the hotel. It has a security system that you can check in and out of like a garage. It’s right next to the hotel. This hotel is linked to the downtown Skyway system. If you can going to an event at the Casey’s Center or Iowa Events Center, this is a great location. You pay a little more to stay here, but the location is worth it.

We received a surprise upgrade to a suite as a Hilton Honors member. Beautiful and impressive. Thank you (Brandon) to the front desk for this wonderful surprise!

Convenient for us as we had tickets to concert at Casey Center.

Pool small and too crowded to use.

Shuttle service was very helpful and available when we needed it.

It was extremely noisy even into the early hours of the morning. We purchased food from the little "store". It was fresh fruit and a salad. It was expensive but worth not having to go out. Once in the room we discovered the fruit was moldy and the salad way beyond being edible . Yes, it was clean and beds were comfortable but I wouldn't choose this site again.

We had a cupboard door that was needing hinge repair, which I requested twice but no repair was done. Everything else was great! Room was nice, beds comfy, pillows were awesome! I was able to get shuttle service to the airport very early. I requested extra coffee, creamer and plastic forks which were promptly delivered by the staff. Elevators require a room key to go anywhere except main lobby, so the room areas were fairly secure. All in all, it's one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in.

Great overall except paying for parking

If there was a complaint , it would be ppl that had no business parking in handicap parking were parked in assigned spots most of weekend...management should check that occasionally as sometimes it was hard for me to get though garage and parking lot.

The rooms were spotless and so fantastic to check-in to after a hot day at the zoo. The staff was receptive and helpful, even working with us to check in early! Pool was great, food was wonderful. Beds and room temp could not have been better. I was surprised that the televisions did not offer any way to order a movie for the kids or use smart technology to cast from our phones. Even in the most rural Iowa towns, this amenity is standard. It was an unexpected hiccup to an otherwise delightful stay.
