Great breakfast best I’ve ever had in a hotel

The suite is nice to travel with your family. The property definitely is older, but well maintained and clean. The breakfast was my favorite part, lots of choices and the quality was decent for a hotel breakfast. I loved their coffee! They also have snacks at night, which is nice.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Amenities were excellent. Location was great and easy to navigate.

Great hotel, beautiful atmosphere, and very good free breakfast

This was by far the worst Embassy Suites I have stayed in and I was highly disappointed. Our room smelled very musty. The light fixtures in the bathroom were rusted all over terribly and the grout was moldy in the shower. The window tracks were full of dirt and not clean. My daughter went to sleep on the pull out couch and it was full of crumbs and the most uncomfortable thing ever. The mattress was thin and you could feel every spring. The double beds are small. Our air conditioner froze us out. There was no adjusting the temperature without just shutting it off which made the room smell worse. Our things like curling irons would not stay in the plug ins, they just fell out and some of the plug ins didn’t even work at all. The breakfast cook at the omelette area was grumpy. The cupboard doors in the food area were crooked and not straight on the hinges and the wood looked terrible on them. Just not a very pleasing sight as you were eating breakfast. It just felt run down and not kept up very good. I was highly disappointed because the room was VERY expensive!! When I was asked at check out how it all was I told the lady and she said she was very sorry but there wasn’t anything she could do since I booked through Hotels.com. She said she was going to give me 5000 points added to my Hilton membership but that wasn’t done either.

We were very impressed with the property (Hilton Embassy Suites) we stayed at in Des Moines.

Staff was fNtastic

It was not horrible but torn wallpaper in spots. The furniture in our room was “worn”. The shower in our room needs new caulk. The bed was hard and my husband did not sleep well. Carpet outside elevators was dirty and worn. Our lady that checked us in was amazing but unfortunately I forgot her name :(

Even though she was really busy, she was plesent.

Room looked clean but the bathroom had a funky smell as if wet towels had been left in there for a few days and the mirror frame needed to be wiped off. It's those tiny details which need to be remembered. Staff was professional and courteous. Location was great. Beds were comfy.

Well kept, friendly staff and decent breakfast

The breakfast and happy hour are 10/10! We love booking at Embassy Suites for this alone! The property was very clean, valet, front desk and cleaning staff were all really kind and accommodating.
