location was good. big carcasses in bathroom light. A/C sounded like a comment truck while mixing concrete.

My room was a good size, with modern décor and a useful kitchenette area. The reception staff were also very helpful in directing me to the nearby pickup point for the shuttle bus to the Iowa State Fair. The impressive State Capitol is well worth visiting and only a 10–15-minute walk from the hotel. The surrounding area was very quiet during my stay, although this was on a Sunday evening. There were plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, but most were largely deserted that evening. Breakfast was served downstairs and offered a good selection of both hot and cold items. Overall, this was a peaceful and convenient place for an overnight stay in Des Moines. I am not sure there would be enough in the immediate area to occupy me for more than a couple of nights, but it suited my visit very well.

The elevator floor tiles were missing and the ones left were dirty. Dust and dirt around the hallway edges.

The room was not cleaned properly. Had to go out to purchase sheets and towels. Over charged for parking. I got bit with insects all about my body... The air was extremely dry in the room, what could only mean that the a/c vent was not clean.

The room was great the only thing was the noise from refrigerator kept us up. It needs to be replaced. It was also warm in the room even with the air conditioner on The morningbreakfast was great. Psrking was goodand the staff was very pleasant. .

The bathroom sink was clogged, toilet roll was almost empty when we just got there and breakfast was so bad! No food, no waffle mix and not even any coffee. Highly disappointed for the price, as we had to go off site and pay for breakfast when it should have been included.

Cleanliness of the room was not the best- I found trash underneath the furniture. Some of the furniture was pretty scuffed up and run down. Lots of space in the lobby. Staff member at the front desk was very nice and helpful. It just wasn’t worth the amount of money they are charging.

Our stay was fine. The bed had a large stain on the dust ruffle as if something had been spilled on the side of the bed. The pillow case and a towel in the bathroom also had stains on them. They were clean but should have been discarded. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful but they seemed understaffed. The front desk clerk was checking people in, answering the phone and taking care of guest requests all at the same time. We waited 10 mins before we could check in. Not a big deal but not the norm for a hotel that cost $200 a night. I will look for another option next trip.
