Clean and comfortable. Best staff!!

After reading so many glowing reviews I expected a much better maintained hotel. The room doors were in need of paint and furniture worn. Parking ($20 per night!) is in a ramp that is dirty and there is no signage to guide you on the long walk to get to a door to enter the back of the hotel. Our first night was nearly sleepless due to the noisy AC unit. We spent three over priced nights and will stay somewhere else on our next trip to Des Moines.

Rooms clean and beds comfortable.TV remote wasn’t working right . Curtains weren’t long enough so light from outside was visible all night. Front desk gal Sunday unpleasant but Sat gal was very pleasant and helpful. Sunday gal appeared if she didn’t want be here. Breakfast was good, but slow to replenish food, no fruit , biscuits and gravy out, tables weren’t cleared/cleaned timely so had to sit in the someone else’s left off syrup, scraps.

Liked the location. We brought up several areas of concerns/heath hazards with the room to the staff. When we expressed this they asked if it was an inconvenience. A nail pertruding from the floor is not just an inconvenience it's a hazard. On top of that the staff got an attitude when expressing the frustration. They tried to move us rooms which would have been a downgrade and did not give a refund for the room. We ended up leaving and driving home. Would not recommend this location to anyone.

Great staff, clean and updated rooms. Very close to great entertainment and Wooly's and East Village is an area with plenty of entertainment if live music isn't your go to. Always a pleasure to stay here when we're in Des Moines.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was full of choices!

The cleanliness of the entire hotel, including our room! We enjoyed all of the amenities we could but didn't have time for all because our stay was short. The breakfast was amazing! The staff person at the breakfast area was so sweet and offered "to go" items to take with us.

The lady at checkin was juat the nicest lady ever

All around amazing, was able to just show up and have an early check in, SO ACCOMMODATING

One last thing I will say in regard to all hotels is they need better lighting.

Excellent breakfast, great location, friendly staff, very clean.

The room was nice. The air was hard to regulate and would not stay at the temp that it was set at. This made the nights sleep difficult as you would wake up hot and throw off covers and then need to put them back on when it finally cooled off again. Even though there is a thermostat in the room, it was not regulating the actual temperature. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast options were plentiful. It was in walking distance of multiple places as well which let us leave our vehicle in the parking garage for the $20/day.

The location, kitchen and the comfort of the bed. Staff was also wonderful, loved that the parking was directly accessible from the hotel. There was a pretty well equipped gym as well. The jacuzzi and pool got overcrowded and could probably use a bit of an update.

Great location with in walking distance for food, drinks or a nice walk around downtown, convenient parking garage attached to the hotel just barely fit my crew cab, long bed f350 at 7’ of clearance. Arrived and the nice women at the desk said she did not see a reservation from booking, after about 30min of searching a manager was on the phone and found our reservation.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar was AMAZING! We would stay again.
