Our stay was fine. The bed had a large stain on the dust ruffle as if something had been spilled on the side of the bed. The pillow case and a towel in the bathroom also had stains on them. They were clean but should have been discarded. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful but they seemed understaffed. The front desk clerk was checking people in, answering the phone and taking care of guest requests all at the same time. We waited 10 mins before we could check in. Not a big deal but not the norm for a hotel that cost $200 a night. I will look for another option next trip.

Rooms were spacious and clean

I’ve stayed here a couple times because of the convenient, walkable location. The amenities are great and the lounge and breakfast area is nice. Although this wasn’t the case during our first visit to the hotel, the front desk staff this time around was aloof and crabby on checkin. Also, the sheer curtains were ripped on both sides of the window quite significantly. For the price, I’d expect more.

The hotel is in a good location. However, the breakfast has very few options and is bad quality. The bathroom need to have more amenities and the TV could have more channels that we don't have to pay for .

We had a great stay! Check in was quick and easy. The location was perfect-just a short walk to our event which made everything convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place and would stay there again

Loved the 2 bedroom suite! Very clean and great kitchen area. Breakfast included.

we had the suite with 3 beds, one kids and two queens with 2 bedrooms and a seating area with a kitchen and two bathrooms. when i walked in i was amazed. it was so clean and beautiful! street view was really nice! beds were comfortable. the check in was so smooth and quick, front desk staff at check in and out were very friendly and kind. breakfast was another shocker! high grade food, fresh and so much to choose from! the pool was clean and looked very relaxing, we didn’t swim we were in town for a concert and just didn’t have enough time but it looked inviting! this place was a 10/10 and if we’re ever in town again, we’ll stay here! for the price, if you’re splitting it like we did it was cheap between couples, about a hundred a piece, and it’s convenient for a family but a bit pricy but then again you’re downtown and within walking distance to so many things! love love love!

Great stay

Great location to area concerts!

There was never anything (hot) available other than the yogurt bar. We had to find someone to refill all of the forks and spoons, as well as bowl and plates. The gentleman helping was very accommodating with helping with that but seemed very overwhelmed. I would highly recommend more help in that area. My family left with no breakfast. A little disappointed in that.

After reading so many glowing reviews I expected a much better maintained hotel. The room doors were in need of paint and furniture worn. Parking ($20 per night!) is in a ramp that is dirty and there is no signage to guide you on the long walk to get to a door to enter the back of the hotel. Our first night was nearly sleepless due to the noisy AC unit. We spent three over priced nights and will stay somewhere else on our next trip to Des Moines.

Great staff, clean and updated rooms. Very close to great entertainment and Wooly's and East Village is an area with plenty of entertainment if live music isn't your go to. Always a pleasure to stay here when we're in Des Moines.
