Sleep Inn & Suites Dothan North

Breakfast was okay. One lady prepared breakfast was the nicest person we met there. Personable, friendly, and efficient. She was also a backup to front desk while preparing and displaying food. Place was nasty and unkept. Lady who checked us in was not friendly with a poor attitude. General Manager, Jaylin Shah was rude and hateful while customers stood behind me. We made reservations through Booking for reservations and this place was listed as Pet Friendly. A pet fee might be assessed but manager told Booking we would not be charged Pet fee. General Manager at this Sleep Inn, Mr. Shah denied this, although I had it in writing. We were charged a hefty pet fee for a service animal for one night. Money collected for pet fees are a different transaction than room charge (why?) and no answer was given. Bathroom was so nasty, my husband refused to take a shower. Bathtub floor was dirty (photo attached). Bed did not sleep well, signs of age and poor upkeep were notable throughout the building.

Ended up, checking out a day early as I had to be on another job site in another city at the last minute. Turned in my key card Thursday when I tried to check out. Was told that I couldn’t technically be checked out until Friday because my reservation was made through Hotels.com. I told her no problem I don’t mind paying for the extra night. Just wanted to let them know that I was leaving and give them the key. Friday afternoon I checked my account and I was charged $5.80 for failure to turn in a key at checkout. This key was turned in the day before. The desk clerk even thanked me for turning in the key and not just leaving. I called about the charge Friday afternoon and was told that the manager would take care of the charge that it had to have been a mistake. I left my phone number so that they could call me and verify that everything has been taken care of. It may only be $5.80. But it’s the principal. When I return to Dothan next week, I’ll be staying at the Hampton next-door. Don’t be shady…

Great room for the price and great staff. Only down was the pool was under maintenance. But no other issues. Room was clean, air conditioner worked with no leakage, bed was comfortable no holes, tears or discoloration. The TV worked no problems at all.

Staff were extremly plesant. Jessica was very friendly in our several passing conversations!

The Inn was in a great place where shopping and restaurants. Easy access to everything.

Pool was closed for maintenance, there is only one dryer on 2nd floor and it had the same cloths in it from when we arrived to when we left, the bed sheets had stains on them that almost looked like blood, and the breakfast was hot but very bland all around. If you didn’t know to push the button on the juice machine hard, you wouldn’t figure out how to get it.

Location It could have been cleaner. There was mold around the lamp shade in my room. Bathroom was not as cleaned

The shower in my room had peeling paint and black stains. The bathroom walls and baseboards were dirty—they don't clean properly using the right products—and the towels were grayish.
