Nice convenient location Helpful staff

Booked hotel thinking it was the other location close by. Quite a shock very minimal hotel. Thin cheap bed linens only two very thin pillows on bed. Asked for more pillows was told if they have more will bring the. To our room. They came…all lumpy and not useable. Would not recommend

The place was clean enough, but the front desk closes at 10pm. There is nothing in the room as far as amenities....no kleenex, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, bare cupboards. The beds were hard and they don't serve breakfast. There was a full size fridge, microwave, and a stove top, but you'd have to bring everything for using the kitchenette.

The walls were somewhat thin, we could hear our neighbor's TV all day. Thankfully everyone was respectful of the quiet hours. Our entire stay the people above us seemed to be moving furniture around, and they had a very heavy walk, otherwise aside from the occasional small child yelling it was a very enjoyable stay. The other guests were nice and we would have the occasional small talk in the elevator, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

For the $120 we spent, this place was ideally located and worked for our needs. It was adequately clean, quiet, and the front desk person was nice. Two things that surprised me were that there was no free wifi and that the front desk closed at a certain time (though they gave you an emergency number to call if needed).

Convenient to family Front desk staff friendly No soap! How can that be???? They said they were out. Funky smell in our room. Towels were thin and no hand towel. It was bare bones.

Clean room. Helpful staff. Not staffed 10p-7a. Not a biz hotel. Many families with kids and dogs. No coffee til 8am. No coffee machines in rooms, either! This is deal breaker for me. Appreciated fridge and microwave.

Efficiency business stay hotel. Location is good but no breakfast and limited room amenities like soap, coffee, etc. Bring everything you would need for a stay. Small kitchen in room to cook with a large fridge. Some kind of low income housing operation happening here with children being picked up by school bus every morning. Security and card access is good to keep any vagrants out. No room turnover or fresh towels everyday, must be requested. Fitness center is very small but has essentials like treadmill, dumbbells, and dual cable machine. TV worked just fine. Beds are a bit stiff and pillows feel stuffed with cotton balls. Overall not my first choice in Downers Grove but cheap and available on a very busy hotel week.

I enjoyed my stay but the bleach smell was too strong and the heat only worked on 80 degrees. Other than that it was clean, spacious and the staff was amazing and helpful. Would stay here again.

Our bed was terrible. The mattress had a dip in it, where it had been slept in consistently. It was also INCREDIBLY loud. Any time you remotely shifted your weight to reposition or get comfortable, it sounded like the whole thing was going to come apart. Made getting any sleep terrible.

Nothing They had overbooked the hotel and did not have the rooms that I had reserved, so we had to go elsewhere. When we got to the 2nd hotel, we were the 2nd group in an hour or so that had come there, and mind you, there are many other hotels in and around that area.

The second room was somewhat better — it didn't smell as bad, but it was still dirty. The floors were grimy, and the linens still had other people's hair on them. I didn't have high expectations for this place, but I was still thoroughly disappointed. The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were terrible, and even though this room was an improvement over the first, it still had a strange smell — honestly, the entire hotel smelled off. I was glad I'd brought my own kitchen tools, because the kitchenette had nothing but a refrigerator, a sink, and a hot-plate-style cooktop. The staff were friendly, and I didn't ask for any remediation since I was too busy during the stay. But I never felt comfortable in my room and couldn't wait to check out. I'm honestly surprised at how highly rated this place is on this app.

This hotel is reasonably priced. Great place without having to spend a fortune. I will definitely recommend WoodSpring Suites, and look to stay there next year when I take my trip.
