Hilton Durham near Duke University

The room had a coffee cup from the last person that stayed. There was not clean to my standards. Very disappointing, there was no coffee in the morning. And we couldn't use the coffee maker in the room.Because it was no plug anywhere near it.And no clean cups

Would not rate this as a four star hotel. In a room that sleeps four adults, the bathroom was not large enough and the shower tiny. The twenty dollar breakfast buffet was basically a contenental breakfast. No complimentary coffee in the lobby for the business traveler. The tiny pastries were cold and similar to that you might find in a vending machine. On the positive side the facility was clean, the staff friendly and the location excellent.

Dinner in the restaurant was very goo. We purchased our breakfast at the Starbucks counter. It was delicious as well.

The room service pork chop was excellent.

Only unpleasant issue I experienced was having a dehumidifier in the bathroom that appeared to be needed to rid the room of a mildew smell in the room from higher humidity. This room was on the first floor at the end of the hall and may have had some past water damage. I will not stay on the first floor again in the future. I’ve had this experience in the past at other hotels.

Nice property close to Duke. Great breakfast! Not the processed rubbish you get at other hotels. Very nice service.

Hospitality training needs to be conducted periodically in order to filter out employees who are toxic to the industry along with the integrity and professionalism as the faces of Hilton.

The restaurant was excellent & the breakfast buffet was very good also. The only thing that was a negative was the fact that there was no regular coffee in our room with the kerig & when we requested it at the front desk, they had none. Be prepared to pay for coffee offered at Starbucks, but they do not open until 6:30.

Could not get the room cool even though I turned thermostat down to 62. Only 2 tv channels were available to watch. Some front desk personnel were rude and argumentative. I always use Hilton, and this is the only bad experience I have ever had.

the staff was very nice when checking in. the only complaint i have is there was no coffee available to guests you had to buy it.
